The hotel is in the city center and is very close to the lively sixth street bar street. The room is very clean and very spacious. The suite has two sinks and a toilet with strong shower pressure and a soaking tub. The bed is not very good. The music is very loud at night and the soundproofing is not good. Good breakfast and rich parking fee. Front desk service is average.

This hotel has no free parking for guests! Due to the location, you are almost forced to pay $50 a night to valet. You are very close to a homeless center so parking on the street was not an option. None of this is mentioned on their website and when several other guests arrived we were shocked. We were already overpaying for UT graduation weekend but to sock us with an extra $200 in fees since we drove up in two vehicles was ridiculous!

I was there for business. Hotel was convenient to the Convention Center. My Bell Staff,Maurili, was great. It went the additional mile and took care of all of my needs when I was checking out. He was accomondating.

Dear Hilton Garden Inn AUSTIN, I'd like to share here my bad, bad, bad experience staying in with your hotel. I told the same to you staff this morning, and the staff was great and understand my point. Fact: At 01.30 a.m. a male person accompanied by a girl knocked very loudly and more time on the door of my room trying to enter, it scared me. I called the front desk who turned this person away. then the steff person didn't call me back to let me know who this person was, whether an outsider or a guest of the hotel and whether the story was closed. It's difficult to go back to sleep after this shock. I paid around 300 dollars for a night to had a worse experience than a 50 dollar motel. Suggestion: If the receprionist see drunk people back to the hotel, follow them to be sure they gonin their camera, otherwise they could disturb the guest of the hotel. I saw many hotel have a security person all the night to garantee the safe of guest.

Stayed here 2N at the end of a 2-week road trip. 3 rooms booked. Check in was ok, although it took a bit of time due to the way our names had come through via the booking system (we booked thru our airline). The rooms themselves were ok, a good size, however they were all inward facing into the atrium of the hotel, so we didn't get any natural light & felt we needed to keep the curtains/drapes closed to stop people looking into our rooms. On the plus side, that did mean we had no traffic noise from the interstate, but it would have been nice if we'd been asked at check-in if an inside room was acceptable. The bed (at least in my/my wife's room) was pretty soft, so not ideal for me as I prefer a firmer mattress. No free breakfast & the bar on the upper floor, whilst having a great view, is pretty expensive. Valet parking is the only option- very helpful and quick service- as we'd found at other places on our trip a US cell number is preferred but the valet guys worked around that & I had no issues getting the car. The hotel is just round the corner to 6th St & about 20 minutes walk to the State Capitol.
