The suite that has been prepaid was actually sold when I checked in. Although Ctrip immediately negotiated, the room type I originally booked was still not available, and the hotel's attitude was very bad.

Bathroom baseboards needed replacing or caulking. Trim was separating from the wall. Bathroom and sleeping area was otherwise seemingly upscale and very clean but this issue distracted and made me uncomfortable.

easy to get in and out, Smoothie king is in same parking lot, but also close to toher places, movie theater, whataburger. 20 min drive to 6th street/congress

Unfriendly front desk man. When husband called because the tv didn’t work, he said he would be right there. 45 minutes later husband walked down to front desk. Desk clerk was visiting/flirting with a woman. The door on the side of the building, right by our room. Husband told front desk. Front desk person was not concerned. Then husband had to change rooms because our room flooded due to a toilet issue in another room. While all of this is happening I am in the hospital having my heart worked on. Very stressful.

The service was awesome. They tended to my needs. This was the first time I traveled alone which made me a little nervous but they made my stay very enjoyable and I felt safe during my stay. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Do not make a reservation at this hotel. Awful. I made a reservation 10 months in advance (in November 2023) for 3 nights in October for the F1 race. 5 months later in March 2024 I received an email from the hotel manager that my reservation was taken in error and, as a result, it had to be cancelled since there was no availability. Had I been told shortly after I made the reservation, I might have been able to secure another room. Pretty much everything is now sold out and what is available is in excess of $1,000/night. I suspect they were able to sell my reservation for a much higher price and they cancelled my reservation to make more money. Oh, and as compensation they offered me a night some other time at the hotel for a reduced rate. Seriously, stay away. I am done with Marriott . . . period.
