I had never been to Austin before and was so happy that I selected the South Congress Hotel. It is very clean, the staff are very accommodating and the location is perfect. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

One good thing - The hotel staff is wonderful! Every single person was helpful and attentive. The poor review is for the following: Tons of small charges for “incidentals” like water and coffee in the lobby. I’m sorry, this is absurd for what we pay to stay here. Rooms are poorly lit and not as equipped as you would expect for a higher end hotel. Only one elevator was working the entire time we were there.

I recently stayed at a downtown Austin hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city with easy access to major attractions, restaurants, and live music venues. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always willing to help with recommendations and directions. The room was modern, clean, and spacious, with a comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep.

Great hotel! I stay here frequently and the staff are always kind & helpful. It is in the perfect location for restaurants and shops and is very close to the downtown area as well.

Great Hotel . Close to all the hot spots and best restaurants. Nice pool with view of South Congress . Great bartender at Congress Hotel lobby bar . Ask for Bradley who will give you expert advice on where to go and what to do as you sip your favorite cocktail . Visit him once you hit the hotel . Great drinks and expert advice !

Great location. Room 222 had a noisy air conditioner (hummed like an old refrigerator) and the single story ballroom next door was too noisy after 10:00 to drown out.

Hotel was clean, friendly, great vibe...Room Decor was great. Location was in walking distance to entertainment, many food choices, and even Downtown depending on your fitness.

One night stay for a birthday celebration in the Bouldin room. It was fabulous - loved the spacious bathroom - the tub, the shower - and the separate bedroom and living areas. The TV was limited but we didn't use that much anyway. The patio by the pool was nice. I loved the curtain options - one for blackout, one to let light in with privacy. Loved the bluetooth speaker to play music on!! There was even a jug of drinking water by the bed (swoon). The bar and restaurant options in the hotel and next door were SUPERB: Cocktail at lobby bar, brunch at Cafe No Se, drinks and bites at Watertrade! We also walked to Chalupin restaurant across the street, which is great! Loved the photo booth in the lobby bar too. Super friendly, helpful staff every place we went. It was a splurge, but worth it!

South Congress Hotel has thought of everything! The most beautiful space in a great location on South Congress! The staff were above and beyond friendly and accommodating! Our trip was extra special when we found a beautiful happy birthday note in our room for my daughter!
