I travel to Austin quarterly from Dallas and have stayed at a variety of larger/corporate and boutique hotels. This one is my favorite. It's on the far end of South Congress, which is a lively, fun area, but not too clubby or late-night focused. The hotel is walking distance to Town Lake and the amazing trails, water access, and everything else it has to offer, and a very short Uber ride to all of Austin's best restaurants. And one of my favorites, Perla's, is just a block away. The hotel is just busy enough to be "lively" with fun people watching and a lively hotel bar scene, but by no means overrun with partiers. The in-house breakfast spot/coffeeshop is excellent and both the pool and lobby bar have skilled and happy bartenders with great drink options. The rooms are mid-century modern inspired with comfortable beds. If you're able, I would recommend getting a room that faces away from South Congress (it can be a bit loud from cars), but don't be deterred from the hotel if street facing rooms are the only ones available. Five Stars!
