Sketchy area. Freeway adjacent but not noisy with the balcony closed. Staff was very accommodating and inviting!

This was the worst hotel experience of my travel life. Three rooms and not one had tv or internet. The ceiling tiles were falling down, no light in the entry way, 2 of the 3 rooms they tried to put me in did not have a working lock. Appeared to be kicked in. The furniture had visible soiling on them. Should H-E-B searched the reviews. This brand does not care about their clientele and refused to refund my booking. Definitely a zero stars for not even trying.

Dont listen to all the bad reviews, as to each their own. However I had a great night sleep even being right off the highway it was peaceful. Cozy room and great staff. Thank you Casulo hotel for making me feel welcomed

This hotel looks so promising from the road. We booked based on the great price. But the old adage you get what you pay for definitely holds true here. We were rooting for this hotel. We really wanted to enjoy it, especially after getting the sob story about how I-35 construction and then the pandemic almost destroyed their business. But that said, there is only so much you can overlook. When we got into our room, the window unit had cardboard on the side of it, and it wasn't even attached. There were lots of little things that needed repair but again we tried to overlook it because part of the sob story was that during the pandemic they had to do short-term rentals which means less than desirable clientele came in and created a lot of the damage. We noticed the other window of our hotel wouldn't even shut completely, and I am attaching a picture I've said window. Again, we just tried to go along and get along, and we put a towel in front of it because we were not at ground level. But the straw that broke the camel's back and led to this review was the fact that we walked past the workout facility and there were all kinds of personal effects on the ground including underwear and women's hygiene products. We reported this to the front desk as we were leaving for the day. When we came back to the hotel 8 hours later the items were still there only there were new and different ones. Considering the less than desirable people we saw hanging around, it seems safe to say that potentially a lady of the night was entertaining in there. And hotel staff obviously knew about it and / or cared so little that they didn't even clean it up when we told them about it. I'm also including pictures of the workout room. The only reason I gave the hotel two stars and not one was the cheap price. But when you factor in the fact that even my husband said he didn't feel completely safe there and Men usually discount a lot of the fears that us ladies will have, when you consider safety I should have given it a one.

Felt sorry at first because of the story we got by very nice front desk person ( actually both hotel Front desk Staff we met were very nice) about why hotel was in such a terrible condition. Hwy expansion and pandemic really hurt them. However, after staying one night and really looking at their hotel, it’s apparent they are just mismanaged and have very little pride in what could be a truly stellar hotel like it used to be. The room had a piece of unattached cardboard to fill the gap around the lake shift window air conditioner. Carpet, bed skirt had tears in them. Some light bulbs burned out. Toilet seat broken and toilet actually loose from floor. Driving in looked sketch. Security light poles broken. Parking lot both front and back were a mess. Back parking lot had lots of debris, broken tree limbs, old bathroom tub just laying by the dumpsters and appeared to have been there a long awhile. The curtain in room was literally cut with scissors around the ac unit. Sorry but tacky AH! The room door wouldn’t open all the way. Curtains that had holes in them. Shower door handle very loose. Cigarette butts al around in the ground in pool area. Hot tub wasn’t operating and water looked polluted in it. The fitness room has what appeared to be someone maybe living it. A bra, underwear and bunch of tampons. Trash too. Pool hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Some of the pool area furniture broken. We were really wanting to cut this hotel some slack ( because the price is cheap)but it’s obvious they care so little about the state of this hotel. Both days, there were what basically looked like a homeless person asleep on a sofa in the foyer and some guy just riding in on his bicycle… WTH. It in some ways just didn’t seem to be a safe environment. So, You could tell it’s family run and I think I met the grandfather and the grand daughter but managing this hotel seems over their head. Sorry that might be mean but I call it like I see it. In a nut shell, I’d stay far away from this hotel.

I booked this place with Priceline when I booked my flights as sort of a "bundle". Big mistake, the place is a bit run down to start with. When we got to our room we noticed only one towel, had to go to the front desk and get more towels, soap (they only had one small bar) and toilet paper. Then the TV didn't work, it would come up but no sound, I'm pretty good with electronics, this thing was broken and I was too tired to complain so I let it be, I did tell them when we checked out. Then the Wi-Fi was extremely slow and spotty, meaning, it would connect and disconnect, it was practically useless. We came here for just 2 nights for the Moto GP race so my wife and I were tired from walking all day so we basically crashed the 2 nights we stayed here but if it wasn't for that I would had complained and/or moved somewhere else.

Zen inspired crack house is more like it. The entire place smells of stale cigarettes. There were holes in the ceiling, 3 different floor types in our room, ripped curtains, the pool was closed by the health department and a big picture window looking from the bedroom into the bathroom. Who needs privacy? Stay far away

Bugs, layers of dust, stained bed skirt, ABSOLUTELY DIRTY. TV hardly worked. Front desk lady was outside smoking a cig when we came down to check about a different tv remote we called about 20 mins prior. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.
