My stay at the Austin Proper was my first experience with the Proper brand and I had high expectations given that I work in the hospitality industry. Nevertheless, my expectations were exceeded. Starting off with the design and programming of the hotel- the hotel did a great job of threading the needle between Austin's original feel and contemporary design throughout every detail of the hotel. From the scent, wallpapers, amenities, furniture and soft goods- every detail of the hotel was consistent and well thought out. More importantly, the staff at the hotel were particularly well-trained and willing to help, which is becoming harder to find in the industry. Through a combination of resonating service from the staff and thoughtful F&B outlets, I noticed that both guests and non-hotel guests were inclined to spend time throughout the different spaces of the hotel (even on weeknights!). I'm inclined to check-out the rest of Proper's portfolio upon my stellar experience at the Austin Proper.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I was immediately impressed by the top-notch customer service and facilities, both of which deserve a solid 5-star rating. The valet staff greeted us warmly as soon as we arrived, setting a positive tone for the rest of our stay. Although my trip was primarily for business, I had decided to bring my three daughters along as they were on school break. The reservation had been made by someone else, so the hotel staff was initially unaware of my girls' presence. Upon entering the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the bustling restaurants and the friendly hotel staff. They efficiently checked us in, and upon realizing that I had my daughters with me, they graciously offered to switch us to a room with two queen beds to ensure a more comfortable stay for all of us. I was pleasantly surprised by this proactive gesture and appreciated that I didn't even have to request it. Throughout our stay, the hotel provided us with numerous amenities, and the location couldn't have been better. Everything was clean, and I felt very safe, which added to the overall positive experience.

Everything from check in to the cleanliness of the rooms the warmth of the staff and the sexiness of the hotel was superb ! The mini bar is stocked with the best items. Room service was prompt and delicious ! Restaurant was super yummy ! Comfortable beds and loved the digital lighting functions ! Super sexy and sleek hotel !!

This was a very attractive hotel at a great location. Full of little details that enhanced the experience. There were only a few aspects that prevented a 5 star rating like too much noise coming from the pool area and then, a bathtub that was not filling up. Rooms are quite small and with furniture, not much space to walk around. But almost all of the rest was perfect and the property itself is a beauty.

I'm almost hesitant to share my love for this hotel as I don't want prices to rise any further. But it's a little piece of heaven in every way and very grounding during high-pressure business trips.

Place is beautiful and the staff is excellent. We did have some noise issues which is unfortunate, but they accommodated us as best they could and we’re very nice about it.

The attention to detail at the Proper is incredible. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were given a free upgrade upon arrival. I will definitely be back.

My wife and I had the pleasure to stay at the Proper Austin for a relaxation weekend. As soon as we pulled in at the valet, we knew we would spend an amazing time. The attention, the pampering were already nailed. Front desk agent, Oscar did a great job explaining the hotel. Our hotel room was like new. Have they recently renovated the hotel: it looked like it. We then went to Goldie’s, a bar reserved for hotel guests, had no issues to be sat and had a couple of mixology cocktails: delicious. Also had the pleasure to try Peacock restaurant where “maestro” Gigi took care of us. The engagement of this server was exemplary: WOW, just amazing food and service. The manager, I believe his name was Giulio took the time to greet us: so nice. Then the next day, I received a greeting from the Managing Director: Anis, a true hotelier that made sure we had a great time at the pool. Pool a bit small. However, the supervisor Fedor was so nice and so welcoming. Finally, we also met the director F&B: Sang: a rockstar. We really felt being the Queen and the King of Austin. We will definitely go back

I had such a wonderful stay at The Proper. From check in to check everything was flawless. My girlfriends and I had a staycation here and it was such a luxurious retreat. Spending the aftwrnoon by the pool with delicious food and amazing cocktails was a lovely way to beat the heat in Austin. When we retreated to our room it was so nice and comfortable we didn’t want to leave.
