Sentral East Austin at 1614 E Sixth

Self check in is new to me but instructions were very well done step by step and made it a easy process.

I was in Austin for an extended period for business. I originally chose Sonder at East 5th, but the experience there was among the worst I'd ever had. A complete nightmare. I was with a welcome change though that the staff at Sentral East Austin at 1614 (particularly Penny on the front desk), were immensely helpful and friendly. Whereas I would give a 1/5 to Sonder and have suggested that all avoid that property, I immediately give Sentral a 5/5. The staff first of all are the best. I could not ask for more. They were helpful with a difficult booking (because I was changing apartments). They made me feel welcome and not a burden. It was also great to have face to face interaction with staff. Conversely, Sonder had no staff and all interactions with with a chat bot that redirected requests to staff that felt like they were overseas and detached. The room at Sonder was a dream. All spaces were well sized. There was a large amount of space for baggage. The laundry facilities were in room and excellent. I travel a lot, and I feel that Sentral has been one of my best stays in the past decade. If you don't choose the Sentral at 1614, then you'll be missing out.

This property is great and the team is easy to communicate with. We would stay here again if in the area. The only suggestion I have is for the staff to add to the kitchen amenities - we only had 2 pots - no skillets for breakfast cooking. Additionally, the dishwashing pods and washing machine pods were in the same jar so that was confusing until we figured out which were which.

Do NOT say here if you think that there is any possibility that you may arrive outside of business hours or you could end up like us - sleeping in the hallway because you can't get into your room with your code. They claim to have help available 24/7, but it appears to be AI as the messages we sent for over 2 hours kept recycling with claims that they were escalating the issue, etc. suggesting that we call maintenance (but never doing so themselves) and no one answering the maintenance phone number

Wonderful service, the apartment was super clean and confortable. If I can only object to something it is the noise. The street is super busy and noisy. But, overall our experience was wonderful. We will be back

Great facility with an upscale feel to it. Sentral has a great concept, almost like you have a real whole apartment. Nice bathroom, good storage space. Even a washing machine! Location was very good, nice food trucks nearby, 6th street is amazing night time, but the rooms are not sound proof so bring earbuds. Bed is OK, kitchen was huge but not very well equipped. We liked it here, but it was a bit expensive to be honest.

This was a refreshing stay. Your room is fully furnished and you can make yourself at home. This place has all the things (full range stove and fridge and microwave) as well as a washer/dryer to make it worth it from the time you arrive to when you're back at home.

Great and easy check in!! The staff is so friendly and very attentive. We had a few questions and they answered the phone immediately I also left my ring at the property on accident and Delphine was so kind whilst trying to; and eventually, locating my ring!

This was my first time staying in a property like this... it's really like staying in your own apt. When you arrive, there is an iPad that you use to check in. They will then email you the Apt number and the code to get into the apt. The apt itself is really nice and spacious and clean. I liked having the full kitchen, the little patio and the comfort of the living room, bedroom, etc. Most importantly, is the location. This is in the middle of E 6th Street so up and down the street there were A LOT of fun bars, stores, restaurants, etc. This was a great area to walk around, but its important to get a higher floor otherwise it would be difficult to sleep, etc bc of the noise. I liked this apt and would definitely stay here again in Austin!
