Great location along south congress! Awesome staff, clean and cozy room. Clean!! Love the pool as well. Will definitely consider again when in Austin!!

I cannot properly describe the magic of Austin Motel, (but I'm going to try!) This is our third stay with this property, and every time they go above and beyond in their customer service. We've gotten a handwritten note with each check-in, upgraded rooms just because, and they even left us a few beverages when we stayed for a birthday. The staff is unbelievably kind and attentive, and we will continue to come back year after year.

We booed a day pool pass (through Resort Pass) at the Austin Motel and it was our favorite part of our Austin weekend! The vibe of the motel was just fun. Everywhere you looked you felt like you were immersed in the Austin Motel's red, fun logo, and energy. They really pay attention to all the little things. We went on a Saturday and we were able to book our pass the day before (but they did tell us upon arrival they typically book up quickly and we got lucky). You're able to enjoy the pool all day 10a-10p and they have a full bar right inside the pool. All of the team members were so friendly and welcoming. TIP: If you're not staying at the hotel and book a pool pass, bring your own towel. On the resort pass site, it said towels were first come first served and based on availability but upon arrival, we found out the towels were just for guests. We ended up getting towels but there was a chance we wouldn't. Arrive early! We arrived around 1p and the pool was PACKED! We couldn't find a lounger or place to sit so we had to set our stuff on the ground. We watched and snagged a table once a family left (totally expected for a busy pool in the summer but just a heads up). The have two changing rooms/bathrooms available to pool pass guests and these are convenient, clean, and have everything you'd need. Street noise was never an issue. We thought it would be with the motel being right off Congress but it was quiet and they had music playing. We loved our pool day here and would LOVE to stay here the next time we're in Austin. Great property, great design, great style. Just a great experience.

The Austin Motel is the SOUL of the city! The last bastion of WEIRD that made the city the most sought after location in the WORLD! Smack dab on South Congress the entire vib seems to revolve around the calmness of the Austin Motel! I grew up in Austin so I knew...I knew there's only one place left that captures that groove.

We like South Congress, so this was a great location for a quick getaway. For all the new buildings, I like the vibe of old Austin. The room was cheerful and spacious. The staff was cheerful as well. This was a really good experience. We will be back.

This is the quirkiest hotel we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the staff are super friendly and helpful and the adjoining restaurant and coffee shop are brilliant too. There is also a very cute shop beside the check in desk. All in all I would definitely recommend!

My fiancée and I stayed here in April 2024 for a Bachelorette Trip. While the bride-to-be chose the location of where the Party stayed we have no regrets at all from our stay here. Check-in was made easy via an online check-in option. As soon as we arrived, there was an intersex progressive Pride flag hanging in the window. This was a great sign that we were not only welcome here but also fully supported. Y'all means all! The Austin Motel is a quick mosey to all the great places on South Congress which made it great for saving money on rideshare options. We absolutely adored our room (especially the parrot wallpaper) and had everything we could need. The rooms were retro and leaned into that aesthetic but we had all modern conveniences of a hair dryer, a tv, a bluetooth radio, and fridge full of snacks and drinks. Unfortunately for us, it drizzled the whole weekend so we didn't get to enjoy the pool. But that didn't stop another party from enjoying the amenities. Even though they were loud and having a good time, we couldn't hear the noise from our room that was near the pool so we were able to take an afternoon nap when we needed it. Even though it rained, we made sure to stop by the pool bar and enjoy the "Raspberry Beret" and "Texas Mule" cocktails. Both excellent choices. Absolutely every employee we spoke to were nothing but helpful and kind. The lobby has a small gift shop that several members of our Party bought from to remember their stay as well. When we come back to Austin, we can't wait to stay here again. Or, if we're looking to go a bit fancier, we might stay at the parent company's (Bunkhouse Hotels) other digs at Hotel San José down the street! Thank you to Tricia and the team for making us feel safe, welcomed, and taken care of for our short stay in Austin!
