I was checking out and I waited at the desk along with another guest who was also trying to check out. There was nobody at the desk we waited for about 5 minutes there was no bell to ring to notify staff that we were waiting to checkout so I knocked on the door. When the door opened I told the staff member who checked me in that I was leaving the card key and wanting to check out. She was in the office with another staff member and both seemed to be having a heated conversation about something. The staff member told me to leave the key at the desk and that I was never welcomed at the hotel anymore. I was stunned and surprised and didn't know what to think. Honestly, what she said actually gave me anxiety. My heart started to race and I asked her what was wrong because I was completely lost. I thought she had confused me with another guest or something I was not sure. She immediately said that you are not supposed to knock on the door. I was like.....Ma'am nobody was at the desk. I was waiting and did not know what to do other than knock on the door. I was trying to checkout and didn't know I could just leave considering that I booked with a 3rd party and had a deposit that needed to be refunded. I explained there was no sign that said not to knock on the door so I did not see any harm in trying to notify staff that I was checking out. She then said leave the key on the counter and then leave. I will never stay in this La Quinta again and I will definitely write a review on all known platforms that I am able to do so. I think that her behavior was uncalled for and unnecessary. I clearly meant no harm and whatever she was upset about previously should have not be taken out on me a paying guest.

Front Desk Shante was a delight!! EVERYTHING a guest needed to know about the hotel and surrounding eateries was right there! I showed up road weary and was greeted with a beaming smile, fantastic disposition, and unchallenged professionalism. The room was clean, quiet, loaded with the necessary amenities and downright comfortable. The proximity to the Capital was a huge plus for a Monday morning commute!!

Great place if you just need a place to sleep. Check in / check out was perfect. No handicap parking. Television required you to login to your personal account. No clock. No convenient outlets and no lamp.

Cold front came before we got in from Louisiana, front desk staff with red hair helped direct us to walmart to get clothes. Rooms were clean, warm and they were nice about letting us know about crickets. Kept coffee out to help combat the cold and great sense of humor when needing new keys all weekend.

Great location to the venues we needed to go to. The room was clean. The AC worked well which was important because of the heat outside. Friendly staff, no issues. Room was cleaned and stocked in a timely manner. Delicious Y'alla burger food truck close by.
