This place is a bucket list type of hotel. From arrival by boat, you are welcomed by a lovely team who really care and smile through your entire stay! The rooms as mentioned are up the hill, but that adds to the ambience, space and flow of air. The rooms are well appointed and spacious the high ceilings with fans Negate the need for air con. The animal experience is immersive, take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The trip to Cano island is brilliant, the snorkelling is excellent and our guide was so educational. The highlight was the trip into Corcovado was unbelievable, our guide Gabriel was exceptional with his knowledge of flora and fauna, we saw so many animals, and got to swim in a waterfall… honestly the guy is a huge asset to the team. The food is exceptional and family style meals meant we met so many lovely families at dinner to swop tales… Without hesitation…. Book this place, you won’t be disappointed!

My wife and 3 sons recently stayed 4 nights at Aguila De Osa. We enjoyed being active but also had plenty of down time to rest. Bradd and his team thread the needle between giving you space to relax but also not mssing out on all of the beauty that surrounds you in Osa. We went on the trip to the National park, Snorkeling, hikes along the pacific coast. One of the highlights was Bradd arranging for an afternoon or sport fishing for my 3 sons. They were thrilled to catch a dozen yellow fin tuna. And Bradd's chef prepared one of the top meals I've ever had with Tuna steaks and sashimi. Made a bunch of new friends during dinners. it was all good.

Aguila de Osa was our first full experience of the Osa Peninsula, and we loved it! We visited in March and had a blast touring Corcovado and Caño Island. The hotel is lovely, and the view from our room was unreal! We saw macaws, hummingbirds, and white-faced monkeys all right from the balcony. The food is honestly some of the best I've had, and those brownies are delicious! We were so impressed that we returned to Drake Bay in August and booked a tour with Aguila for Corcovado. Our guide, Gabriel, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and fun. We saw plenty of animals, including two tapirs, wild pigs, birds, crocodiles, all species of monkeys, and many more. I can't say thank you enough! You guys are all amazing, (Maykol, Guillermo, Gabriel) and we loved our experience with you. 10/10, highly recommended!

This is quite possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Our lodge was amazing - the views and with nature all around. I would recommend a room with a hammock to relax after a morning of activities. The food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful it was just wonderful. The trips from the hotel are well organised and very enjoyable and the boat transfers in and out of the hotel add to the whole experience. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and would like to say a very big thank you to all your amazing staff

Lots of wildlife (capuchin monkeys and toucan for us), good diving operation, good food, and attentive staff. Too humid for me and not much to do beyond lodge offered activities, but just a nice place to relax. Difficult access (fly into Drake Bat airport and then car and boat to reach the lodge).

One of the most beautiful, one of a kind hotels I have ever stayed in and I travel quite a bit. Nestled in the tropical rainforest, in the remote Peninsula Osa, on a beautiful bay, this place is truly special and an absolute gem. The owner, Bradd Johnson, who designed the hotel, has captured so well the concept of an eco lodge, sensibly integrating the hotel into the stunning and unspoiled natural landscape. You just feel like you have landed in paradise and you are being embraced by nature. There is so much to explore on the beautiful trails and stunning beaches, nearby Corcovado National Park with 2.5% of earth's biodiversity and Isla El Caño. Here you can really get away from everything. The only noise you will hear is the soothing sound of the waves from the ocean and the beautiful rainforest sounds. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the food, by Koko, the chef, is exceptional. All the staff are super friendly and very attentive, they really make you feel so welcome and they go out of their way to make sure you are well looked after. Special thanks to Erica for being so kind and taking such good care of us. I travelled with my daughter, but I'm already planning another trip to take my husband. Muchas gracias a todos, hasta pronto. Pura Vida!

Aguila de Osa was our last stop on a 3 week exploration of Costa Rica and by far the best. The arrival by boat , food and accommodation eclipsed everything we had previously. The staff were fantastic. The snorkeling trip with manta rays sharks and turtles was amazing. A night time foot safari we can across frogs , bats and a tapier grazing. the journey back by boat , 4x4 and 8 seater Cesna plane was once in a lifetime experience . Thank you all at Aguila especially the behind the scenes unsung hero's.
