Penghu Hotels with Balcony

I stumbled upon this place online, and the photos looked great – really cozy and comfortable. Funnily enough, when I was inquiring about water activities and what was fun to do (water-based), someone suggested I book this B&B (when I asked about attractions). I told them, ”What a coincidence! I've already booked it!” 😂 You can see so many little details here that show the owner's thoughtfulness and creativity (you'll understand when you visit! 😁). There's also a cute dog named ”Puff.” It's a pet-friendly B&B, and the owner is not only warm and welcoming to large families, groups of friends, or two close companions, but also, and more importantly, incredibly friendly and welcoming even if you're traveling solo. Even for someone as introverted as me, she gave me a sense of ”belonging” that made me not want to leave, or at least want to come back again. Plus, the owner is into freediving, so if you're a freediving enthusiast, you can come and hang out with her. I'm so glad I went on this solo trip, and I'm even happier I booked this B&B. The best part was getting to know the owner, which made me fall in love with Penghu! 🥰🥰

Good home stay owner. Before check in, he called if we have transport to the residence to check in and offer a ride for check in. During the check in, he patiently introduce Peng Hu and some tips on the trip. The home stay was clean as the residence is newly established. Amenities such as aircon, heater, automatic toilet and TV is in good condition. The location gives a holiday vibe, away from noisy cities. Good for vacation and relax your trip. During check out, the owner kindly offer to sent us to the airport. Overall good experience! Can see Penghu is developing and likely will improve their public transportation such as bus in the future.

The hotel was marvellous, very friendly and informative staff, always happy to give great suggestions of places to eat and trips to go on. The room was luxurious and spacious with a very cool retro style. The bathroom was fabulous with a massive bathtub. The breakfast every morning was healthy and had a great variety each morning

The Discovery is a great hotel for business travelers. The location is close to shops, convenience stores, and is a part of the mall. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will be staying there again if I return. I did not have the opportunity to try the different facilities they offer, so I cannot speak to their quality.

I absolutely loved it here. The lobby was very clean and even had a 24-hour coffee machine with coffee and milk tea. The staff were incredibly helpful, answering all my questions. The hotel shuttle was readily available after I got off the plane, and I could customize my breakfast to my liking and schedule. They were also very helpful with taxis, tourist routes, and transportation – truly wonderful people! I just forgot to ask how to address them. The hotel rooms were spacious, comfortable with heating, and had a large garden! The hotel is a bit far from the city center; the nearest point is a 15-minute walk for the whole family. However, be aware that because it was the off-season, there's a stray dog ​​in the weeds near the hotel; never go out alone at night – it's quite scary! 😟

We spent an enjoyable 8 nights at Peace B&B. It's in the ”Old Town” so lots of character but quiet at night as no traffic is allowed and shops closed. Room is a comfortable size and the balcony is lovely. Breakfast included is collected at reception each morning. We really appreciated the help with the airport pickup and drop. Improvements would be a mirror in the bedroom and better towels (the fluffy towels ate not absorbant).

The location is about 6-7 minutes by bike from the city, and it's also close to the beach. The service staff are very kind and friendly, but the deluxe double room is quite small. I feel that the configuration of the room can be changed. The luggage rack feels unnecessary because it takes up a lot of space. I saw that the other two room types have larger spaces. It is very considerate to have a clothesline on the balcony. The room attendant was cleaning the corridor and making a loud noise. I didn't know if it was the sound of walking or sweeping the floor. If I stayed in late, I would be disturbed.

The double room has a king-size bed and is spacious. Unfortunately, there are no movable tables and chairs in the room, otherwise it would be inconvenient to eat in the room. The downstairs common area is large and has tables, chairs, a kitchen, and a washing machine, which is very suitable for friends who book the whole building. A unique custom of B&Bs in Penghu is that they do not take out the trash or change the bath towels for those who extend their stay (no towels are provided either).

The hotel's location is quite good, quiet at night, and about a 10-minute bike ride to Magong City. It's also only a two-minute bike ride to the barbecue restaurant or other restaurant we booked. Overall, the hotel is comfortable, clean, and bright. However, because the power is switched off when you leave the room, and due to the season and location, the rooms lack ventilation and dehumidification, which could easily breed cockroaches. (We booked three rooms, but two rooms on the same side had small cockroaches, although thankfully there was no musty smell.) Breakfast was a simple buffet with tea eggs, steamed dumplings, scallion pancakes, toast, chicken nuggets and fries, juice, coffee, and tea, etc., but it wasn't hot by around 9 am, though not cold.

The place was immaculate. For the most part, the experience was terrific. What follows are minor issues. There was a slight issue with the water heater, which resolved itself after a short time. Fortunately, the weather was warm, so it wasn't a serious issue. The breakfast was simple, basically a large sandwich, rather than the continental-style breakfasts that people might expect. The rooms were accessed by stairs, so I doubt they are wheelchair accessible. Wifi was excellent, although one had to find the password at the front desk, or on the router itself (just an oversight in me not asking for it, I'm sure). Finding this B&B among all the other B&Bs in the area is tricky; the cab driver had to call the owner to find it. Google Maps is very useful, especially with all the unnamed streets in the area. The facility is located next to National Penghu University of Science and Technology.
