Inspired by a traditional village Amandari is framed by jungle and rice terraces in Balis cultural heartland. Alang-alang-thatched houses some with pools - all with private tropical gardens - cosset guests under bamboo ceilings their suites elegantly decorated with teak and coconut-wood. The grounds are both sacred and essential to local families; children attend dance classes here and religious processions pass through regularly leading down the steps that spill below Amandari to a 7th-century stone tiger - a motif repeated throughout the property. Follow the road out of the village to hike or bike the emerald-green landscape or head further afield for artisan villages - hidden temples and the palaces and boutiques of Ubud. Overlooking a tranquil lily pond the Spas offerings range from massages and manicures to traditional Balinese treatments. Both Indonesian and Western dishes are specialities at the open-air Restaurant or dine intimately in the rainforest with a private chef. Set amid aromatic frangipani trees and the enveloping warmth of a Balinese village Amandari is perfectly suited to special occasions of all kinds.Show More

In Ubud, it is on the mountainside. The hotel is great and the service is very good. The hotel has a car to take you to Ubud town. After checking out, it also took us to another hotel for free, which took more than an hour. There were just too many small mollusks. The food was also good and the price was moderate.

As an Aman fan, I officially started my global Aman tour after my retirement. The first stop was this 35-year-old Aman (opened in 1989), the second Aman in the world. Needless to say, the service is of the same high standard as always, and the rooms and dining are also very Balinese. I especially experienced the airport drop-off service, which was far beyond expectations. If you want to ask why, you will know after you experience it for yourself...haha

As a resort hotel, it is quite satisfactory and not bad, but if it is a hotel under Aman, it will have a false name. The public area is too small, and the activities provided are too few. Everything is relatively mediocre, far inferior to amankila in Bali , amanjiwo in Yogyakarta, if you go to Bali, you should live in amankila

Eating breakfast in front of slowly dispersing clouds is the best experience of this trip. It may be that the hotel is relatively old, the toilets are not temperature sensitive smart toilets, and the facilities are average; the environment is good, open the balcony to enjoy a lush canyon privately; the service is the biggest failure in this trip, and the most anticipated local experience activities have been repeatedly communicated It was only three times that the choice of chargeable items was provided, and during the whole check-in process, I didn't realize the intention at all, only a professional fake smile. As a whole, it is an experience that is not as good as 2,000 yuan in domestic intercontinental, and it is not recommended.

Majestic experience. Incredible staff. Unreal experience of total bliss. The Italian restaurant was a great surprise and the local flavors and service is next level. This place is a slice of heaven. Hope to be back again. The pools are gorgeous.
