Desa Potato Head Bali
"Desa Potato Head enjoys a fantastic location in Seminyak, surrounded by great restaurants and just a short distance from the shopping district. We stayed in a Garden Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The bathtub overlooking the lush garden was a particularly nice touch, creating a relaxing atmosphere after a day out. One of the highlights of our stay was the morning yoga session, a wonderful way to start the day. The resort also offers several swimming pools, allowing guests to choose between different settings depending on their mood. Combined with the vibrant beach club atmosphere and sustainability-focused concept, Desa Potato Head delivers a unique Bali experience. The property itself is a visual masterpiece, featuring striking architecture that blends contemporary design with Balinese influences. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. From the iconic beachfront views and artistic installations to the beautifully designed walkways and pools, there are countless Instagram-worthy spots throughout the resort. The main drawback is the transportation arrangement. The hotel actively supports the local community and appears to encourage the use of local taxi services, as indicated by signage displayed in the lobby area. On its website, the policy is described as being due to local community regulations. As a result, app-based ride services such as Grab and Gojek are required to pick up guests at the end of the driveway on Jalan Petitenget rather than directly from the hotel lobby. As a savvy traveller who likes to compare prices before booking transportation, I found this arrangement somewhat inconvenient. While the hotel can readily arrange local taxis, their fares are generally less competitive than those offered by ride-hailing apps. Guests must either walk to the main road or request the hotel’s shuttle to the entrance on Jalan Petitenget, then locate a suitable pickup point to meet their driver. This can be inconvenient, particularly in hot weather, during rain, or when travelling with luggage. Overall, Desa Potato Head is an excellent choice for its location, facilities, wellness activities, unique architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. If the transportation arrangement is improved or a more convenient pickup point is provided, the guest experience would be even better."
Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort
"The Room View: I booked a sea-view room but was given a pool-view room instead, which was quite disappointing. Housekeeping: Housekeeping could definitely be improved; the cleanliness and overall servicing of the room were not up to par. Breakfast: There were limited breakfast varieties available, but good coffee they served."
Hilton Garden Inn Bali Nusa Dua
"This is not to the typical standard of Hilton hotels. It felt more like a Holiday Inn. Very basic and not that clean. The gym was basic, with no leg weight machine. The staff were lovely and friendly but I would not recommend it if you are expecting a Hilton stay."
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali
"Resort style for relaxing. Room does not have round table for my room dining. Simple but cosy."
Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort
"Absolutely fantastic memories made in this beautiful hotel . Very clean and all the staff are so welcoming and always have a smile on their face."
The Royal Purnama Luxury Villas - Adults Only
"The service is amazing, everyone working there treats you like royalty. The perks are amazing, the daily afternoon tea is great, latte or tea with an assortment of delicious snacks, daily free breakfast is great too you get very filled up, free shuttle service to the beach/mall was convenient too. Nice relaxing ocean views at the resort too, great peaceful setting. Nice romantic dinners at night at the resort restaurant too with live music. Overall we really enjoyed our experience!"
Holiday Inn Resort BALI CANGGU by IHG
"I stayed here for 3D2N during Nyepi, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing overall. The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell. I suspect it’s due to the drainage design, which doesn’t have a proper lid and remains open. We asked for an air freshener, but the staff said they didn’t have one and instead offered chemical cleaning. They did the cleaning while we were out the next morning, but the smell remained. This makes me believe the issue is with the drainage system itself, not something that can be fixed with surface cleaning. Service at Roomah Resto was also underwhelming. About 99% of the staff didn’t come across as genuinely friendly, most interactions felt forced, with “polite but unwilling” expressions. Only one lady and one gentleman gave us a warm and sincere welcome; the rest felt quite unfriendly. We also paid almost 1 million IDR for a Nyepi dinner for 2 people, but it felt like the hotel was not prepared for the number of guests. There were very few waitresses, and it often felt like they avoided eye contact when we tried to get their attention. Service was slow and inattentive. On top of that, the kitchen was surprisingly loud, which disrupted the overall dining experience. The room itself is quite small, especially considering the price. I paid almost 8 million IDR for 2 nights, which did not feel worth it. The room is also not soundproof. We were lucky to be staying during Nyepi when it was quiet, but otherwise, the proximity to the main road would likely be very disturbing. I would not recommend this place for families with babies or toddlers for that reason. For comparison, I stayed 3D2N at another hotel in Sanur and 2D1N in Canggu at a much cheaper rate, and both offered service that was far better than what I experienced here. Overall, the experience did not match the price point, and I left feeling quite disappointed"
Puri Bagus Lovina
"Trip. Com always provide best price compare to other ota. Smooth check-in. Hotel was great, have own beach for easy access for the boat pickup dolphin tour."
Kanishka Villas
"Nice villa, got a private pool with 2 bedrooms and a big living room. Breakfast was served to the room every morning. Walking distance to restaurant, pub and mart."

Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Villas & Spa
"Kayumanis Jimbaran is a truly relaxing villa resort. My husband and I stayed for four nights and greatly appreciated the villa’s exceptional privacy. The staff were unfailingly kind and attentive, with Manager Samuel and our butler, Purnama, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our holiday both comfortable and memorable. The villa’s layout is thoughtfully designed, making it easy to spend the entire day enjoying swimming, sunbathing, or watching movies in complete relaxation"
Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
"We had a wonderful stay at Hiliwatu Hotel with our two children. The hotel is absolutely stunning, with beautiful architecture and surroundings that make it feel truly special. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The food was also excellent, with every meal being fresh and delicious. A few things worth noting for future guests: the hotel is quite remote and far from Ubud and most attractions, so be prepared for longer drives if you plan to explore the area. Families with young children should know that there is no dedicated kids’ club or regular children’s activity program. However, the hotel can arrange activities for children upon request, which is a nice option for families. Additionally, breakfast is served exclusively à la carte rather than as a buffet, which means service can sometimes take a little longer during busy periods. That said, these are only minor points. Overall, the hotel is truly amazing, and we had a fantastic stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious, and beautiful retreat."
Cicada Resort Bali Ubud, Autograph Collection by Marriott International
"😄👊🏻 This was the first accommodation for our Bali honeymoon, and it was an absolute success! We actually hesitated a lot between this place and The Kayon Jungle Resort, which is very popular among travelers. However, we wanted a cleaner and more private experience, so we chose the Cicada Resort. As soon as we arrived, the staff welcomed us with a traditional Balinese ceremony, including tying a bracelet around our wrists, which made us feel truly special. The main public pool was almost empty, so we enjoyed it so privately that it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We had dinner at the resort's restaurant. They host different performances every evening at 7 PM, such as jazz or traditional dances. On the night we stayed, we got to watch a traditional Balinese dance, making our romantic dinner even more perfect with great sights and delicious food. The next morning, we joined the complimentary yoga class. The instructor was amazing—giving detailed posture corrections and even helping us take the best photos of our trip! If you want to avoid crowded places and are looking for perfect privacy and tranquility, I highly recommend this resort. You definitely have to visit!"
Wapa di Ume Sidemen
"Wonderful Stay! Thoroughly enjoyed"
Kinama Villa Jimbaran Bali
"very new equipment including tv and air conditioners but many mosquitoes as half of the room is outdoor"
Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai
"5-Star Stay at Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai (with one small caveat). From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff made all the difference. Check-in was seamless, and every team member, whether at reception, in the restaurant, or around the property was genuinely attentive and eager to help. Their warmth and sincerity turned a good stay into a memorable one. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean, with every amenity you could need. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, perfect for sinking into after a long day exploring Bali. As of Nov 2025, the hotel looks brand new. Breakfast offered a solid variety: Asian, Western, and local options, plus fresh juices, soda, and milk. It may not rival the sprawling buffets of luxury resorts, but it was more than enough to leave you happily full. One note: Sound from a nearby mosque can carry early in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs or request a room farther from the street side. Despite that, I’d wholeheartedly recommend Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai. Excellent value, outstanding staff, and a clean, comfortable base for your Bali adventures. Will definitely return!"
Villa Koura Kuta
"2nd time staying here! Clean place and super friendly staff. About to make this place my go to stay whenever I am in Bali. Thanks guys :)"
Sakti Garden Resort & Spa
"I had a lovely stay at Sakti Garden Resort & Spa. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, making it a great place to relax. The staff were especially lovely and accommodating throughout my stay, always friendly and happy to help with anything I needed. The massage at the spa was also so good and made the stay feel even more relaxing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’d happily stay again."
Athaya Canggu Villas by Nagisa Bali
"It should be considered that the B&B is very new, super new. Checking in was very bumpy because the B&B is located in a very remote location, which does not match the actual location I booked. It is 10 minutes away from another hotel with the same name. Fortunately, the people we met were very nice and helped us contact the hotel to send someone to pick us up. That day, my wife and I checked into the hotel on the back of a motorcycle with our 30-inch suitcases. The hotel is very clean and no adapter is required. If you need breakfast, it will be 100,000 rupees per person. Please update the hotel address as soon as possible, otherwise I will really collapse as I am unfamiliar with the place. The good review is for the hotel guy. He is the most sincere person. He helped me solve many problems. He even sent us out for dinner late in the evening, picking us up one by one on a motorcycle. He came to cook breakfast for us the next day. I was really touched. Thank him!"
Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Ungasan
"The hotel was a little mouldy and smells. Probably due to the plumbing system. Each room have two dehumidifier to circulate the air. Breakfast was good, have halal option."
Anja Jimbaran
"Good value hotel for a short stay bu very noisy Maybe we were unlucky...."
Puri Bagus Candidasa
"Everything was good, but I have some feedback. It would be great to have an electrical socket next to the bed. Also, the washer closet is really slow."
Aruni Bali Jimbaran Boutique Villa
"Really recommended for family at 3 or 4 bedroom villa. We can arrange gathering with facilities totally completed. Location in the center, closed to the airport and to the beach. Staff are very nice with warm welcome and pay attention to the details. For honeymooner, one bedroom villa is the best choice. All the villas has private pool."
COMO Uma Ubud, Bali
"when i checked in, they upgraded my room to terrace room, but I found a dead frog on the bathroom curtain, and it smelles very bad due to it has been dead for a very long time, fortunately they gave me a new room. but in the new room, the next day I had a hot water issue in my room at midnight time, and i had to wait for around an hour for it to got back working again. I recommend this hotel for someone who likes lots of bugs while they resting, becauss there are lots of bugs (spiders, frogs, big ants, bees, etc). Their housekeeping service is quiet quick, and the breakfast menu is also very healthy."
