I had a wonderful stay at Sanur Resort Watujimbar! Location: The resort is very close to the beach, making early morning and evening walks super refreshing and enjoyable. Pool: The pool area is beautiful and clean. They also have a dedicated kids' pool, which makes the resort very family- and kid-friendly. Dining & Entertainment: The food at the restaurant was delicious! We especially enjoyed the dance show hosted every Friday evening—it was cozy and intimate, but really fun to watch. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a relaxing trip in Sanur!

The hotel's layout is very spacious and the facilities are top-notch. The room itself is also spacious, clean, comfortable, bright, and even has a large balcony. The room decor is very cozy. Getting a taxi is convenient. There are 2 swimming pools. The breakfast spread is incredibly rich, and the staff's attitude is excellent. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time.

We stayed for two days, first in a family room and then in a double room. Both were very spacious. There were some mosquitoes, so mosquito spray is recommended. The breakfast was excellent and varied, even offering local snake fruit and sweet ginger drinks. A special mention goes to the hotel's swimming pools – one is 3 meters deep and the other 4 meters, perfect for practicing snorkeling and even diving, and the lanes are quite long. The welcome drinks and snacks were great; I even bought two more boxes. However, I wouldn't recommend the nearby Japanese restaurant; the salmon wasn't fresh, and it was very expensive.

I will recommend this to everyone I know who wants to visit Bali! Start your day wonderfully with breakfast – the bakery section is so diverse it could be a standalone bakery! The black coffee is delicious, and the noodles are great too. All the staff are smiling and very friendly, and the hotel activities are fun, including aqua aerobics in the pool. It's about a 15-minute walk to the boat pier along the beach, perfect for trips to and from Nusa Penida. The package included an afternoon tea, which was a drinker's paradise, and I even had the best salak fruit here. Being in the Sanur area, it's also very quiet at night. This place is my utopia.

The hotel staff were incredibly kind and the hospitality was truly exceptional. I didn't use the pool, but it's very close to the sea and within walking distance, so I'd recommend it if you want to enjoy the beach. I stayed for two nights and only had breakfast once, but I was able to eat my fill without any issues like an upset stomach.

The staff are incredibly friendly! It's a bit far from the city center, but only a 3-minute walk to Sanur Beach, which is super close. The famous Massimo ice cream shop, where people always queue, is also nearby. It's not like the city center is super far either; you can easily walk there along the beach path. Icon Bali is about a thirty-minute walk away. There's a pretty large supermarket called Pepito close to the accommodation, and with global chain hotels like Hyatt, Andaz, and Intercontinental in the vicinity, the surrounding area feels quite good. The room was clean and tidy. The hotel's rooftop pool had a really nice atmosphere; I was so sad I didn't get to use it. Many Bali hotels offer breakfast by order, but here it's a buffet. They even provide fresh Aqua-brand bottled water. It was a very satisfying stay.

We stayed here during our summer family vacation. This hotel, as they themselves describe it as handmade, is built with natural materials. It felt as if we were staying at a friend’s second home. Overall, there was a sense of story, making it an artistic and inspiring experience. Despite its age, the interior was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. However, the first floor of the two-story villa we stayed in had no windows looking outside, which created a somewhat closed-in feeling. The beach was beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere of the restaurant after sunset was very romantic. One thing that did not meet my expectations was that the female staff at the reception and restaurant were not very friendly. Their lack of smiles gave us a sense of discomfort. In contrast, the male staff were warm, smiling, and attentive. I wonder why the female staff seemed rather unfriendly.

Sonny: The Gold Standard As a solo traveller, I was met not just with service, but with an entire legion of extraordinary hospitality. At the heart of this was Sonny. He is not simply a butler; he is a presence. Warm, wise, and effortlessly attentive, Sonny felt like a beloved uncle who anticipated my every whim before I even knew it myself. Whether it was perfectly timed ice buckets, seamless transport logistics, or ensuring my laundry was handled with meticulous delicacy, Sonny made everything feel effortless. He is the true definition of world-class service. Susan: The Healer of Bali And then there is Susan from the Spa. I originally booked one session. I ended up having three—spread across just two days. In my entire nine-day journey across Bali, I experienced eleven spa treatments. Susan was, without question, the finest masseuse I encountered. She begins with purification and sound bathing—a ceremonial reset for the soul. I experienced her Balinese, Hot Stone, and Foot & Leg massages; each was transcendent. My advice to anyone, whether staying at the resort or not: book your treatments with Susan. She is a legend and a true healer. The Experience From the quiet, artful mornings to the evenings spent enjoying the resort's beautiful culinary touches, every moment here felt like a warm embrace. The grounds are lush, the ambiance is serene, and the team operates with a level of grace that is rare to find. To Sonny, to Susan, and to the entire Intercontinental team: thank you for turning a solo journey into a soulful homecoming. We had a wonderful stay at Andaz Bali. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, with a great balance of modern comfort and Balinese character. We stayed in the lagoon access suite, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. Having direct access from our terrace into the lagoon was fantastic, and being able to swim all the way to the main pool made the experience feel really special. The suite itself was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive. Alacarte buffet breakfast offered a great variety of local and international options and hand crafted juices and smoothies. Everything we tried throughout our stay was excellent. Overall, Andaz Bali is a fantastic resort for a relaxing getaway. The combination of the beautiful grounds, excellent service, and the lagoon access suite made for a memorable stay. One of the best, if not the best in Sanur. We'd happily return.
