Not a bad guesthouse for Europeans :) Grandmas and grandpas everywhere :) They probably feel comfortable in this area. Green territory, dirty pool, dirty towels. The rooms are good and spacious. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, instead we went to a wonderful French place 5 minutes away. I recommend it.

The on-site massage is high-quality and relaxing; no need to go anywhere else. 4. **No Algae in the Pool:** Some reviews mentioned algae in the pool, but that's not true – there's no moss. It's just a characteristic of the tiles that makes it look that way from the shore, but the water is actually crystal clear. The pool is heated perfectly and is even warm. **Significant 'Buts' (Things to be Aware Of):** 1. **Hellish Construction Noise (Main Downside):** There's a massive waterfront construction project directly on the shore. A huge excavator is rumbling with boulders from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. On the first day of our stay, the noise started at 5 AM – we had to complain and insist on adhering to the schedule. The hotel sincerely apologized and took action; for the remaining days, the schedule was followed, and the noise started at 8 AM instead of 5 AM 🥲. This isn't the hotel's fault but a city project to improve the embankment, but your vacation will be accompanied by industrial noise from 8 AM to 5 PM. 2. **Army of Hungry Mosquitoes:** There are an incredible number of mosquitoes in the beachfront villas. If you have a superpower like me that usually keeps them away, it might fail here 😂🤷‍♀️. Bring industrial-strength repellents! 3. **Sea for Contemplation, Not Swimming:** The shore isn't suitable for swimming; there are strong waves. But in my opinion, the pool completely compensates for this drawback. **How the Hotel Addresses the Downsides:** The staff does their utmost to mitigate inconveniences: they are accommodating, offer additional breakfast dishes 🤫, provide a complimentary shuttle bus to town if you need groceries or other items, compensate with attention, and promptly respond to any request. **Verdict:** This is an amazingly soulful place with staff who put the guest at the center of their universe. However, you should only come here now if you are mentally prepared for the background construction noise (which, by the looks of it, will last at least another year). We weren't prepared for it, yet we didn't move to another place, even though that strong desire was there on the first morning at 5 AM! If you value human connection more than perfect silence, and the excavator's noise isn't a deal-breaker for you, then you'll receive a ton of care, fantastic food, and that authentic Balinese coziness that brings many people back here. And once the waterfront is complete, true nirvana will indeed descend upon this place. 🧘

For what you pay for, this place is a GEM! The windows in the room are a little inconvenient but they do add to the ambience. The rooms are spacious and the location is great for cycling and adventure. I enjoyed breakfast, especially as it was made with love. The resort is right on the beach. the location is wonderful for families that want to get away from the city and want something more rustic.

Obviously, this is the good view from the hotel territory. But where are many rooms in the hotel, so the swimming pool is seems to be little for so many people. There is no beach across the hotel. So, you have to go on foot or rent the scooter to reach the public beach. As for me, food in the restaurant is quite expensive but not tasty. On the whole, it is good.

Everything was perfect except for the room and the ocean view. The ocean was really disappointing due to the ongoing road and dam construction, with large work boats cluttering the water. The room itself was small and old, so we didn't spend much time in it anyway. However, the service was excellent and very comfortable. The hotel's private beach was dirty and unkempt, and the sea during the rainy season wasn't pretty at all.

But if you value authenticity, genuine local charm, and a 'living' ocean, then Candy Beach Resort & Spa is love at first sight. You can truly feel the spirit of Bali here, not just anonymous tourist hustle. The stunning infinity pool, from which it feels like you could step right into the ocean, decent breakfasts, and breathtaking views all create the feeling of a secluded paradise. An important detail to know in advance: during our stay, there were coastal protection works ongoing at the beach, so swimming directly in front of the hotel wasn't possible. However, the hotel provided a shuttle to another beach (the journey took 25-30 minutes). We saw this not as an inconvenience but as a mini-excursion: we saw monkeys and observed local life along the way. Going a couple of times was quite comfortable. Here's a dinner tip: exit the hotel, turn left, walk a short distance, and turn left again – you'll find a cozy little restaurant there. The food is quite good: incredibly fresh fried fish, simple and delicious, and the atmosphere is quintessentially Balinese. And even though it rained sometimes, it only added a special romantic magic to the place, washing away the dust and making the greenery even more vibrant. The hotel left a warm, heartfelt impression. I recommend it to those looking not just for a luxury hotel, but for an experience with true character and soul!

The staff are so welcoming and really make you feel at home. They always acknowledge you and are happy. The room was always cleaned to a high standard and smelt great. The room is very generous in size. The breakfast options are a highlight including muesli, porridge, smoothie bowls and many others. And the presentation of breakfast it outstanding. There are numerous places to eat close by at various prices so good location. Whilst the pool is clean and cool, it could do with an upgrade as could the restaurant. There are pool lounges however there are no cushions and no umbrellas so too hot to sit and enjoy. Would recommend this hotel.

We stopped at this place by accident) because we wanted to snorkel the next day. The hotel is nice, but there is an inconvenience with the bathroom - you can't fill it. That is, the bathroom is cool, but you may not be able to use it. It's sad. But the staff is great, the views are beautiful, it's quiet and cozy.
