Bali's Hidden Gem: Character Over Glamour If you're looking for a perfectly polished resort with postcard-perfect views, this isn't it. But if you value authenticity, genuine local charm, and a 'living' ocean, then Candy Beach Resort & Spa is love at first sight. You can truly feel the spirit of Bali here, not just anonymous tourist hustle. The stunning infinity pool, from which it feels like you could step right into the ocean, decent breakfasts, and breathtaking views all create the feeling of a secluded paradise. An important detail to know in advance: during our stay, there were coastal protection works ongoing at the beach, so swimming directly in front of the hotel wasn't possible. However, the hotel provided a shuttle to another beach (the journey took 25-30 minutes). We saw this not as an inconvenience but as a mini-excursion: we saw monkeys and observed local life along the way. Going a couple of times was quite comfortable. Here's a dinner tip: exit the hotel, turn left, walk a short distance, and turn left again – you'll find a cozy little restaurant there. The food is quite good: incredibly fresh fried fish, simple and delicious, and the atmosphere is quintessentially Balinese. And even though it rained sometimes, it only added a special romantic magic to the place, washing away the dust and making the greenery even more vibrant. The hotel left a warm, heartfelt impression. I recommend it to those looking not just for a luxury hotel, but for an experience with true character and soul!

Not a bad guesthouse for Europeans :) Grandmas and grandpas everywhere :) They probably feel comfortable in this area. Green territory, dirty pool, dirty towels. The rooms are good and spacious. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, instead we went to a wonderful French place 5 minutes away. I recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Breakfast and dinner were included in the price. For dinner, you could choose one main dish from the menu and one of two dessert options. For breakfast, there was a choice of one dish from the menu and a mini buffet (greens, vegetables, fruits, bread, pastries, jam, butter, muesli, coffee, tea). The grounds are beautiful. The bed was large and luxurious with a comfortable mattress and pristine white linens. The hotel provided lemongrass-scented shower gel, shampoo, and body cream. A big thank you to the restaurant for their culinary masterpieces and presentation. The sea here is not suitable for swimming and is quite noisy at night. It took me the first night to get used to it as I'm a light sleeper, but my husband found the sound of the sea soothing. The pool was clean but the tiles are starting to show their age and need an update. Having a scooter, the location wasn't an issue for us. We rode down the road towards Amed (a 5-minute scooter ride). There were grocery stores, local clothing shops, and liquor stores. We had lunch at Meet u coffee & bar – highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was very well organized. The food at the ocean view restaurant was very delicious. Highly recommendable. Will come back again soon.

For what you pay for, this place is a GEM! The windows in the room are a little inconvenient but they do add to the ambience. The rooms are spacious and the location is great for cycling and adventure. I enjoyed breakfast, especially as it was made with love. The resort is right on the beach. the location is wonderful for families that want to get away from the city and want something more rustic.

Beautiful hotel, comfy bed, big room, wonderful pool. You get free water refills in glass bottles. Gorgeous sunsets, walkable to restaurants. 30 minutes to Virgin beach and 20 to Blue Lagoon, local taxis only. we went riding on beach at Horse Bali on bug bug beach! This was a hotel that matches the picture. The territory is beautiful, well-kept. The only thing that confused me was the declared area of ​​the room 🧐, it seemed much smaller to me in fact, no 80 sq.m. Going out to sea is not provided or you need to overcome an obstacle course in the form of a slippery pontoon or crawl among boats, dogs and local curious guys looking at girls in bathing suits with the obligatory comments in the local language. The service is at a level: the hotel staff is always ready to help and go to meet. BUT! Breakfast is a buffet, not for guests but for flies, they are all over the products: bread, pastries, fruits, vegetables, juices. I had to eat only eggs and toast. For 2 nights, a huge rat came to visit - gnawed through the roof and entered. At 3 am we had to change the room and move. The next night at 2:30 a huge spider came, they said that it was not dangerous, but we did not want to sleep with it in the room. As a result, all nights in the hotel without sleep. The hotel staff, of course, promptly moved us, exterminated the spider, gave us a discount on the massage (which was wonderful, by the way, in the hotel's SPA area) and provided a late check-out. However, we will not come to this hotel again. For comparison, there is a 2* hotel nearby and there were no problems there during long and repeated stays.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice with good airconditioning. The bathroom is located outside, which is lovely and it has a big soaking tub. Unfortunately we were informed that we can't use the tub because of water restrictions, which only left us with a hand held shower. Also, when using the spa facilities, be sure to read the fine print- 21% added on the price. We didn't see it, so were surprised. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Located in eastern Bali, about an hour and a half from the airport, this hotel offers a serene atmosphere with plenty of activities like tea-making classes, Tai Chi, and yoga. Breakfast is à la carte with no limits, so you can order as much as you like. It's an eco-friendly hotel that emphasizes harmony with nature; I even found an egg in the yard! We used the hotel's car to visit attractions, which was a great experience. When we visited, there was government construction blocking direct access to the beach, but the hotel arranged a car to take us to the nearest beach, which was about 20 minutes away. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and the beach itself was stunning and uncrowded. The beach massage was incredibly relaxing. If you're looking for modern amenities, this might not be the best choice. However, if you're seeking a peaceful escape, this place is perfect. Highly recommended!

The hotel is surrounded by greenery, the room is a separate house with its own entrance through a green labyrinth. Near the house there is a huge veranda overlooking its own pond with fish. A wonderful place for meditation. On the veranda there is a small table with comfortable chairs, as well as a table where you can have a snack. The room is sooo cozy. Two large windows overlooking the garden, not counting the entrance door overlooking the pond. The room is furnished with wooden furniture, there is a safe. Very cozy bathroom. There are live plants in the vases. We did not take breakfast here, since in the reviews earlier they wrote that they were meager. We ate in the cafe opposite - very affordable prices. We extended our stay for another night, because we really liked it. The exit to the beach is not far across the road, the beach is very small, but clean. We went from here to Virgin Beach.
