"We will never stay with the Stones again as we paid the upgrade for the premium stones suite that was close to $5,000 Australian. apparently this was the best room with roof top pool and nothing better! We were expecting absolute amazing wow factor especially after bragging to the kids how amazing it was going to be. Were were 2 adults 2 children kids had to sleep on couch and a single bed in the lounge no where to put their clothes so had to live out of suitcase room only had 1 toilet they knew we were bringing out kids and never advised of this situation as when we were previously there a couple of months prior on our own without the kids. were weren’t able to sight the room then as it was occupied! Or would have never didn’t the extra $2500.
This was just the start of our terrible experience. The roof top pool had live wires hanging out and detached from pool light all together didn’t work, which they sent some one to fix it but didn’t was still hanging off. Kids couldn’t use the pool at all. them had to come back and redo it as only had used zip ties to keep it together, the tiles around the apartment were dirty, the door to bathroom was jammed and was hard to open and close when they fixed this the floor was left in a mess with plaster all over the floor and a Stanley knife left behind on the floor when we gave young kids. We also mention one of the buttons in the lift was all pushed in with also live wires (dangerous) the showers and taps only trickled with water noooo pressure at all untill plumber came to fix it! After numerous times of telling then the staircase was old and frail and hanging by old rusted screws and that it was dangerous as not secure. They done nothing about it untill my husband held onto ramp one night coming downstairs and the ramp completely snapped off and he fell down the stairs they had their medical team look over him which luckily was on minor ankle sprain. We no longer could use the pool as was under construction. After continuous complaints to the managers down stairs we spoke to about 5 different ones we demanded a full refund and to move hotel only to be offered a refund only on the $2500 which was the upgrade amount and stay in the same room. Also that the refund would have to take 1-2 months when we had paid on the spot. After only after more complaints and stating we were not leaving without the refund they sent it thru the day we got back to Australia. We also were offered airport transfer when we left! As a major 5 star hotel you would think they would be a lot more accommodating to us and or offer a complimentary drink or dinner or lunch or anything? We were spending $500 roughly at the hotel down stairs by the bar for food and drinks every couple of days also. We then decided to not even use hotel at all and just to sleep! What a waste of money and totally false advertising! Do not pay or stay in this room if your expectation ultimate luxury because it was definitely not! We are world travelers , from koi Samui, Maldives Thailand Bali 15 times at least and also in Europe, Portugal Spain and many more country’s and have never once been treated like this!
