Hotels in Seminyak, Bali

Our stay at Lloyd’s Inn Bali was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has a beautiful, modern and minimalist design, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and always helpful. We especially loved the calm ambience, stylish surroundings and the overall attention to detail. The location is also convenient for exploring Bali while still giving you a quiet place to unwind after a busy day. Overall, Lloyd’s Inn Bali offered us a memorable and refreshing experience. We would definitely love to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and peaceful stay in Bali.

When we first got to our room, unfortunately the air con was broken with water all over the floor, the staff came and mopped it up and left a bucket to catch the water, as we went to shower we noticed the towels were stained and ripped, 3 hours after we had checked in, we were told we had been complimentary upgraded! Which was amazing, the staff took our stuff to our new room, and we had a huge suite which was 10x better than the room before clean towels, cleaner area,a separate kitchen area to the bedroom and was 50Sqf in all. The Staff were so lovely and kind and really turned the unfortunate vibe of what we had checked into around! Location wise, there was not much within walking distance however the hotel offers bikes to rent for cheap to head into the busier part of seminyak.

This is a place that a friend used to visit and recommended. The outdoor space is spacious, they are very friendly, and the food is delicious. It was a mess. The only downside is that there is no entrance from the bathroom to the pool, so you have to go through the living room to get to the bathroom while dripping water. I want to go to Wonil Eleven again. It is also famous for its various homemade natural amenities, and the Shiro was really delicious, but I couldn't go this time.

Kayu Raja Village is located on the bustling main street of Seminyak, yet it offers a quiet retreat. It features over 10 beautifully designed private villas. The hotel staff are friendly and can drive guests to nearby restaurants, bars, or shops using a buggy. Right at the hotel's front entrance is the famous Instagrammable cafe, 32do, where many people queue to get in. Its interior is like a museum, and both the coffee and bread are excellent. Behind it, there's also a Korean restaurant that's rumored to be the best Korean BBQ spot in all of Bali. The hotel is also within walking distance of another popular chain spa, Bodywork Seminyak, which is highly recommended. It's also very close to the famous beach club, Potato Head, all within a 16-minute walk. This is a highly recommended villa hotel that offers a peaceful escape amidst the lively area, with unique architecture and clean, romantic rooms.

The location is excellent! All the famous restaurants and cafes in Seminyak are within walking distance. A taxi from the airport to the hotel takes about 30 minutes, and there's a convenience store right across the street. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and it's quite substantial, though the 10 AM cut-off feels a bit early. All the staff were incredibly polite and welcoming. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money.

The location is excellent, very close to Seminyak's main street, and the hotel also provides a shuttle bus to Seminyak Square. Right next to the hotel, there's a supermarket and a small mall, making it super convenient for dining, massages, and car rentals. Although the hotel is a bit old, it feels like they are making a great effort to upgrade and maintain it, especially with the friendly and enthusiastic staff. The breakfast is incredibly rich, and you can even scan a QR code to order freshly made à la carte dishes. We are very grateful to the hotel for allowing us to postpone our check-in due to the typhoon. We will definitely visit again if we have the chance.

The hotel was okay, but the room really needs to be cleaned better, especially the bathroom. Shower had a lot of limescale. Also the bedsheets and towels were not clean, and we were missing handtowels. Staff was friendly, but keep in mind there is a cash deposit of 100k idr otherwise you have to give your passport. I also have to add, roomcleaning knocking on our door at 09:00 am while we just arrived that night at 03:00 am was not the best.

The villa with a private pool provided a great sense of privacy, allowing us to relax completely! Breakfast is served at an outdoor dining table by the pool! They also offered a floating service! The refrigerator and sink are also located outside. There were ants in the pool, but surprisingly, there weren't that many insects. I'm quite afraid of bugs, so I was worried about that...! Behind the pool, behind a mesh-like design, is the indoor toilet, shower, and bathtub. The mesh section is open to the outside through a void, haha. But strangely, no insects got in at all! A couple of small flying insects came in, but overall, insects weren't a problem! The staff were all very kind and helpful despite our broken English, which we greatly appreciated!

The villa was a little inaccessible as it was located quite a distance from the main streets and it was really dark at night with little lightings on the streets back to the villa. The breakfast provided was alright, with 3 main breakfast options, Indonesian, American and Continental breakfasts. The breakfast is filling but not much variety to choose from and the breakfasts were served to our villas, which I really appreciated. The villa is exactly as pictured from Trip.com. Since it was an open area, we were susceptible to insects and mosquitoes, the villa had burnt mosquito coils but it didn't really help, we still got bitten but it wasn't much of a concern as we were mostly out doing other activities. The wifi here was pretty bad too, it kept disconnecting and we had to use our data instead.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely service-minded. They were also happy to recommend places and things to do around the area, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. During the daytime, there was some burning happening around the nearby rice field, and the smell came directly into our room. It became uncomfortable enough that we had to leave the hotel for a few hours and only came back in the evening. The biggest problem, however, was the air conditioning. In the middle of the night, the room became extremely cold even though we had not intended to make it that cold. We were surprised to find the air conditioner running at 17°C with the fan at maximum speed. We had to wake up several times to adjust the temperature, and because of this we could not sleep properly until early morning. The Wi-Fi was also very poor. Once our phones connected to the hotel Wi-Fi, the internet was practically unusable, so we eventually had to disconnect and use our own roaming mobile data instead. Overall, the staff and service were good, but the air conditioning and internet problems seriously affected the comfort of our stay. If these two issues were fixed, the experience would be much better.
