Bagus Jati Health & Wellbeing Retreat

What once was an amazing property is left in ruins with lazy staff not taking care of the place. It’s just so sad to see this place fall apart like this. The food here is also not worth mentioning. It’s simply horrible. The coffee and tea is so bad I had to get 3 in 1 packets from a mini mart the next day. The quality and cleanliness of the food is also quite questionable. We saw raw fish mixed in with raw chicken and other raw meats. My gf and her mom ordered tuna which turned out to be some sort of meat, soup is way too spicy to be drank and my chicken was so dry it was more like a brick. The kitchen definitely needs a lot of work if they were to start accepting guests.

From the moment you start to deal with everyone at this resort you realise it is going to be a wonderful stay. We had 6 couples from Holland and Australia , family members meeting together and we wanted somewhere special. This resort was the perfect place. Nyoman the manager was wonderful to deal with and responded quickly to all of my messages while I was booking. When we arrived he was attentive to all of our needs as all of the staff were. His warm friendly manner made our stay that much better and he was happy to organise anything we asked. Sri checked in on us each day and made sure all of our needs were met and treated us as special guests. The surroundings, the restaurant and quality of food , the villas, the ambiance, the sense of peace we found here was wonderful after 6 days of craziness in Sanur and Ubud. The pool surroundings is stunning . ADI in the Spa gave the best Balinese massage I've ever had and all of our friends commented on how wonderful it was. We will definitely return. Tomorrow we head to Puri Bagus Candidasa. Another wonderful hotel in this families chain of resorts here in Bali .

incredible place in the heart of the jungle. very high level of service. The most beautiful Lanshavd I've ever seen. There were 11 of us, the rooms are not new, but always clean and comfortable. The spa and restaurant are the best! everyone is delighted with the place. thanks to the entire Bagus jati team - you are the best! special thanks to Noyman.

Had a wonderful three days here and would definitely recommend and go back. The food was so delicious, the staff so lovely, did yoga every morning and had a 2hrs spa treatment. Everything was perfect. As a solo traveler it was the perfect place to relax and unwind

Beautiful location, quite hidden away. Very quiet with lovely views. Gardens are beautifully tended. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful. Food was traditional cuisine & very good. Aparently most is grown on-site.

What a haven!!! 5 star staff, food and surroundings!!! We were overwhelmed with everything that Bagus Jati could offer. The photos do not do justice to the place. We came for a 10-day Detox program, and the food was so well thought by the doctor that we did not miss meat at all. The vegetarian meals were supper delicious with lots of balanced spices. During the program, we had different massages. The Spa manager was very accommodating, changing our times and the type of massages to accommodate our needs. They are proud to use fresh herbs, spices, and oils to complement different type of massages. The banana wrap was our top favourite, but we equally enjoyed all of them. We were fortunate enough to try all of them. Our skin was glowing! Our body loved it! We can not express enough our gratitude to all the masseurs we encountered. Outstanding service!! The food was the biggest surprise to ourselves as we are meat lovers but in 10 days we didn't miss it. The body had all the proteins, vitamins, and minerals sourced from their garden or local produce. The yoga was taught for us as we had no previous experience before. However, the 10 sessions helped us become more flexible, and we are looking into carrying on at home. All the staff are happy and friendly and go out of their way to help or assist you. You become part of the Bagus Jeti family. Last but not least, is to say a massive thank you to the manager who listened to our feedback and made our stay unforgettable! All staff, including the gardeners, work above and beyond to make you feel you touched heaven on earth! You don't have to die to see heaven. You just need to book Bagus Jati to experience it! Our second stay at this serene retreat exceeded our expectations yet again. I wanted to book somewhere I could re-set in peace and tranquility for my birthday and Bagus Jati Retreat was perfect. What I really appreciated was the opportunity to unplug and tune into the sound of nature. Each day I enjoyed the inclusive morning yoga class followed by a healthy breakfast, loaded with love and nutrition. My partner spent the days decompressing with walks around the beautiful gardens, including the organic vegetable gardens. Between yoga, meditation classes and swimming we enjoyed afternoon tea by the pool soaking up the sweet serenity. The staff went above and beyond ensuring every need was met. The infinity pool at this accommodation is my all-time favourite, emersed in the jungle. Peaceful, tranquil, perfection. My birthday dinner was very special, especially when the lights dimmed at the restaurant and the staff surprised me singing happy birthday and presenting a birthday cake that the chef had prepared. The resort is set on a steeply sloped hill with the sound of the river that runs through the valley below complimenting the orchestra of insects and birds that sing as the sun rises and sets. Even for the fitness fanatic, the temptation of using the complimentary buggy to access the amenities this retreat has to offer is tempting, especially after a spa treatment. I had 3 massages during our 5 day stay, each time I was left feeling rejuvenated. Thank you so much to the staff once again for providing the perfect environment to rest and rest. We will be back!

I had a life-changing experience during my stay. The accommodation was beautiful, and the food was incredibly fresh, with most produce grown in their gardens. The menu offered a wide variety of options. The spa was exceptional, offering a range of ayurvedic treatments, as well as other expected amenities. The yoga and meditation classes were transformative, and I felt my body soften over the weeks I was there, thanks to the teacher's gentle guidance. The staff were all kind and caring, focused on making my stay as enjoyable as possible. And the natural surroundings were breathtaking! I was here for three weeks and will be returning every year as it is the perfect tonic for wellbeing.
