The service and hospitality from the staff were 10/10 🫶🏼
We were welcomed with watermelon + lime juice, while completing our simple check in process. Then escorted by the Operations Manager Dewa to have a mini tour around the compound before heading to our room.
The in-house chef is great at preparing vegetarian food, and is good at coming up with vegan options. The breakfast spread is really good, we were often way too full by the end of it 😆
It’s nice being in the middle of the forest - fresh air, nice nature vibes - except you definitely have to take extra steps to prevent bugs from coming near you.
The bathroom is super spacious and rustic, and comes with a bathtub made of stone and a toilet fitted with bidet seat. We didn’t use the bathtub as I’m pregnant and it’s set on top of stones (i feel like it may be dangerous if i have to step out of there 🙈).
Our room has a TV with netflix which is really nice to have as entertainment 😄 since we did not end up using the private pool outside the room. It was a bit stale and dirty on the first two days of our stay, before cleaning happened on the 3rd day.
Free shuttle services to Ubud town area daily! Do note that Grab likely would not work here, better luck with Gojek based on our experience 👍
Overall, definitely recommend this retreat for anyone looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city!

BeingSattvaa is a magical retreat set amidst lush greenery. The owners, Renuka ji and Subba ji are absolute gems . They have created a space so beautiful, so thoughtfully too. They have a crew of such lovely staff who assisted us on our day trips , our daily meal requests and they thoroughly understood how to navigate when we had our Silent day too. From the Balinese style rooms to the delightful vegan and vegetarian cuisine , all done in-house (you must ask Renuka ji for her special icecream!), your body and mind and soul (and tummy) will be in heaven :) As part of a yoga retreat group, we had all our sessions in their beautiful yoga shala and even had the honor of having Subbaji take us through guided meditation . Also look out for the magical meditation cave - so so special. The retreat I never knew I needed, thank you for creating a piece of heaven Renuka & Subba :)

Beingsattvaa is a place to go for an immersive spiritual respite from the worldly noise around us. One would emerge feeling replenished in Mind, Body and Spirit! For me, the new state of Being is "Nothingness is Peace!" I see other group participants liberated with a renewed sense of self, driven by new goals, affirmation , direction, love and support! The owner, Subba has an innate ability to connect with both staff and participants , looking into their needs, making the experience at the resort luxuriant in its simplicity with great food and company! We stayed in the pool suite for a week. The location is incredibly beautiful. We had the wild jungle right in front of our veranda. We could watch monkeys and other small animals, as well as beautiful butterflies. The room is spacious with a great bathroom and an even better bathtub from which you can look out into the jungle. You can choose from a wide selection for breakfast and morning yoga is also included. We chose the hotel because it is purely vegetarian and we like the fact that no animals are killed in this peaceful place. The menu is available all day and is very extensive with healthy options for every taste. The hotel also offers a waterfall tour for around €30 (3 hours).

It is by far my new favorite spot around Ubud. I will come again for sure! It is a tranquil, magical, healing, loving space that feels like you are transported to another world ♥️ The hosts and staff are just incredible!! We adored them!!

We had an amazing stay at this lovely boutique hotel nested in a mini-rainforest. Waking up with the jungle sounds and monkeys, showering outside in nature and enjoying every day delicious vegan food in this vegetarian and vegan only hotel. The staff is very friendly and we were spoiled by Soni and Mona for whom no request was too much. They also offer great massages and every day a free yoga class.

My first solo trip (in a very long time) was to Ubud, for the 6D Healing & Happiness Retreat at Being Sattvaa in Nov 2023. This was just what my body, mind and soul needed: An oasis of green, calm and soothing sounds of running water; good, tasty plant-based meals; art, pranayama (breath practice) sessions, excursions to amazing waterfalls and temple nearby, and beautiful moments of solitude amid glorious nature. Really appreciate everyone who guided and looked after us so well - Subba, Renuka, Kavita, and not forgetting Dewa, Soni, Mona, Juli, Wayan, Alit (so sorry I cannot name each and every one of you). I only wish I could have stayed longer. I hope to be back, soon!
