The Tamarind Resort - Nusa Lembongan

An amazing, beautiful hotel, loved my stay. Room is basic but big, with a nice terrace. Breakfast is amazing with huge portions; I still dream about their Mie Goreng and smoothie bowl. This place has 3 pools, 2 of them infinity pools, and I had a whole pool to myself 2 days as there weren’t many guests (now is off season). Service was the best I’ve had in Bali- staff all remembered my name, nothing was too much for them to do. I had wanted to visit the spa at 7pm on my last night but it closed at 7, then reception called and said they would keep the spa open for me! Very much appreciated. I also spoke to the manager when I was checking out and he knew what my forward plans were and seemed genuinely interested in having a chat. Reception guy was from Penida so was able to help me get the boat transfer no problem. I will say if you want a room with a bathtub to double-check with the hotel when you book, as all the pictures showed bathtubs but turns out top floor rooms don’t have them. Every evening they give a turndown service and give you free cake; the only thing I would suggest is that they knock first, as each time they just walked into my room 😂 Thankfully I was clothed…Overall an amazing stay, would definitely recommend.

The staff was AMAZING from start to finish. The breakfast that was included in our stay was the best we had in Bali! Seriously! A la cart, Order as much as you wanted! Everything was so fresh.

We have just arrived a couple of hours ago. What a warm welcome we had from Anton. This place is like heaven on the island. Small, cosy and just beautiful. Fantastic rooms with all the amenities you may need. Very professional staff that can not be more friendly. We as a family of four are looking forward to our stay.

Probably the best hotel on the Island - great service, lovely friendly staff and modern rooms with fantastic views over Jungutbatu Beach. Really personalised service as there’s only about 12 rooms and two villas to the hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are large, and well equipped with great air conditioning. Food is good, albeit restaurant dinner menu is somewhat limited and relatively pricy compared to other dining options around the island. Walking down to the beach is a quick 5 minute stroll and there are a range of lovely restaurants and bars along the cliff top going the other way around the bay. Highly recommend The Thai Pantry along that stretch, and closer to Jungutbatu Beach, La Bianca is a fantastic restaurant looking out over the water WiFi throughout the resort is excellent, the gym is well equipped and air conditioned and the free massage at the Spa (for long stays I think) is excellent The staff, though, are the real stars - Nicos the driver was on hand for any shuttle runs around the island whenever needed, Dekwi and Putu met us most mornings for breakfast with a lovely smile and friendly chats, and Harry made sure to keep our drinks constantly topped up. NB: The Tamarind Resort is a good 4 star by western standards, not 5 star as advertised. We checked some of the others (Lembongan Beach cCub & Resort, Hai Tide and The Mahagiri - all good 4 stars but no more. The only option for a true 5 star stay on Nusa Lembongan would be some of the up scale villas with private chefs, drivers and staff.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Wishnu, the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay. I could not fault a single thing about this beautiful resort. Special shoutout to the incredible staff who took the time to get to know us. It was a very special trip for my partner, sister and I. Best place I’ve ever stayed in Bali.

A fantastic place with great facilities, the staff were amazing and very friendly, would recommend others to staying here, the island as well has a great atmosphere and a low key vibe for those looking forward to a nice and quite trip.

From the moment you set foot in this beautiful resort you instantly feel relaxed. The staff are absolutely awesome nothing is too much trouble and they have a genuine interest in knowing you as a person. Breakfast is top notch and the location is an easy stroll to the beach and the good restaurants. Rooms are very clean, great beds and have a beautiful view and to top it off also has a well equipped gym. Thanks very much everyone at The Tamarind we had a very relaxing stay.
