I'd like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Udara Bali Resort and Spa team for making our stay over the last week so memorable; we have learnt a lot and emerged relaxed and with fresh perspectives. Our room rate included a generous "all-inclusive" food and drinks package, daily spa treatments, wellness facilities access and complimentary laundry service. Housekeeping even provide a turn down service, which is a nice touch. The daily yoga classes range from Hatha, Vinyasa and breathwork through to water yoga, aerial yoga (think hanging upside down like an acrobat) and sound baths in the evenings. Special events were great ways to try new things which led us to experience a Kakao and Kirtan led by a musically gifted member of the instructing staff called Martina - A must try ceremony filled with the tales of its origin, songs, ceremonial kakao and mindful communication! My hat goes off to the staff working in the F&B area of the resort (The term ‘resort’ makes Udara sound huge, but it’s just right); the chefs prepare excellent food (I’m not a fan of their passion for coconut oil - alternative cooking oils would be nice) and the serving staff are really friendly and make an effort to know you by name and cater to your taste preferences. While the food options were meat-free, we didn't find ourselves at a loss for menu options (although by the end of our week's stay we had favourites). The food was consistently delicious and the option to choose the cook on the tuna or the temperature of our poached eggs was a nice attention to detail. From ordering an additional order of eggs at breakfast to substituting rice for extra vegetables, the staff were only too happy to help. The juice and smoothie selections are fantastic; delicious, well-presented and customisable (if so desired) and the coffee is well-prepared in a commercial grade coffee machine with iced options, too. Big plus if you’ve been getting used to ‘Bali coffee’. The spa and pools were a great place to unwind and cool off. With a sauna (choose your own scented oil infused water to enhance your session), steam room, jacuzzi pool, cold plunge, ice bath, poolside bar and a 37C pool with underwater speakers, we weren’t short on options when we found ourselves seeking some downtime in between yoga sessions and local promenades. The beach is on the doorstep and the coffee/juice bar has paper takeaway cups, so long walks in the mornings before yoga practice or facility access opened were nice ways to start the day. The staff carrying out the spa treatments were discreet and skilled, therefore highly professional by our observations. The yoga instructors were highly approachable, helpful and knowledgeable; they helped people who were either struggling or craving a challenge by providing one-on-one instruction throughout the classes and insights into the practice types, poses and their purposes were features that we found added good value to the stay. Altogether, the variety of yoga

A truly unique place where to practice yoga and other healing practices, enjoy fresh organic food, including lots of vegan and gluten free options, and recharge with a daily dose of sea and spa. The use of sound healing is embedded in many of their practices, with gongs and Tibetan bowls being used in the spa and yoga shalas. Experiencing the eerie sounds the owner can extract from some of the gongs whilst enjoying a Yin class by the sea at sunset time is really a must, as it is the Udara Sunday Festival, a truly heart opening event. Their spa and yoga facilities are craftsmanship at its best, with their intricate details transporting you into a world of mystic natural beauty. The staff are really caring and will do their best to accommodate even the most specific of requests. I would highly recommend this place and definitely planning to come back.

A little dissatisfied There is option for Laundry to be washed if submitted before 6pm to receive at 9pm. I double checked in the morning that this was option on my last day so I handed in my laundry at 5:30pm and asked for express laundry services as stated on the slip. When going to collect my laundry at 9pm it has not even been cleaned. The same person that I left my laundry with asking for express laundry, said that this was not an option as laundry closes at 8pm. If I had of been told this in the morning when triple checking it could be done, I wouldn’t have worn the clothes I wanted washing on my final day. Very disappointed as I needed these for my next trip which does not have laundry services. The restaurant staff are either really fast or don’t serve you at all. The festival days on Sunday look great however if you are not booked in, you’re basically ignored as the public are let in. In terms of tours, I wanted to do one but it is more expensive on your own, the more people that go the cheaper it is, which is frustrating as I would have hoped there would be a group service and a proper tour guide, however it is a self guided tour. There is also no where to sit when you want to sit by the pool or in the sun. As a place that is meant to be relaxing there is definitely a lack of places to sit, there are 3 bean bags out the front on a small grass patch, the beanbags are removed after lunch. There is no where to sit in the sun if you wanted to. You can sit on the beach but there isn’t particularly anywhere comfortable to sit, you would just be on a beach towel. This also causes people coming out the pool to sit at dinner or on the hanging chairs on the second floor causing seats to be wet. There is a guide to put your towels on the floor if you want them washing. I’m not one to do this often whilst away. However after using them for the pool I decided to lay them on the floor. When I came back to a refreshed room, the towels had just been folded back on the towel rails. The yoga instructors were brilliant, couldn’t have asked for more from them. The food was delicious! The architecture is absolutely fantastic. The person that designed this place is very creative. Overall, this is a very good place even if you haven’t done yoga before. It’s like nothing I have been to before. However for the price paid I was disappointed with a few things particularly the washing as i asked many times about it before handing in my washing. i appreciate there is a language barrier, but it is quite literally an option on the laundry slips they give.

I'm happy I waited more than 6 months to review my stay at Udara - so I can include the truly remarkable changes I've made since. I went to heal from a culmination of traumas left over from childhood and a recent breakup. I can without a doubt say that Quantum Breathwork was a life changing experience for me. I've never done breathwork before, and in my session with Gus I was able to feel the most intense feeling of bliss and love than I've ever felt before. I was able to right then and there forgive and have compassion for the people who hurt me the most in life. It had such a big impact on me - that I've quit my corporate career and now pursuing a new life purpose as a breathwork instructor. I've never been happier, more driven, loving and grateful for my experience and the life that waits ahead. I don't recognise the person I was just 6 months ago. That is how quickly and drastically my life, emotions and thoughts have changed. I also had a big breakthrough in my Theta Healing session, where deep and limiting beliefs came up from my childhood. This session was also a big game changer for me, as I was now aware what had held me back from finding meaningful relationships. I have recommended Udara to absolutely everyone, especially people who are searching for healing modalities that gets to the source of what's holding you back - and works in lightning speed. I felt so at home at this magnificent place, which for me, ended up with 3 days full of epiphanies. I can't thank the owners, facilitators and entire staff enough. I will without a doubt be back again this year! :)

Really enjoyed our time here. My wife loved the yoga which was professional and varied. I enjoyed the spa facilities and pools. Massages were great and the whole vibe of the place was lovely. It's unusual decor and rocky paths require you to be a little agile but add to the vibe. The food was really good. Healthy and tasty with a menu large enough to keep it varied. I needed quite a bit more time to eat through all the options. Would thoroughly recommend. Faultless.

Positives: The food, yoga options, juice and smoothie options, pools, spa, massage and other amenities. The staff is outstanding - they make you feel happy and I really enjoyed talking to them. They seem to like working there which is always a good sign! The views are phenomenal and the night events (sound bath, yin yoga) are very relaxing. Negatives: Because the hotel is in a more remote area of Canggu (Seseh), the power sometimes goes out. It was out for about 6 hours while I was there. There is also construction on the property that starts at 8 a.m. Neither of these things would prevent me from staying there again, but guests should be aware.

This hotel is amazing never left the hotel for 3 days all meals are great the classes are nice the staff is friendly. If you love mindfullness and yoga this is the place to go. Don’t go here for the beach. Canggu is not a beach destination . The rooms are clean they look much nicer in person. The bathrooms are great they are outdoors.

The staff make this place! It is a wonderful setting and so much to do but the beautiful staff just make you feel so cared for and relaxed. The food is wonderful. Rooms are Delightful. Beds are firm but in a magnificent way not a bad way. Place is immaculate. Spa is sooooo nice. Restaurant and food is delicious. Wait staff have huge smiles and can’t do enough for you. Yoga, breathing and meditation classes are phenomenal, one class better than the next. I would/will go back in a heart beat.
