We stayed at Akhyana for ten nights in December. True, getting there is complicated due to the really poorly maintained road, but in 15 minutes on foot you can get to the Mapogu restaurant/bar, where Grabs arrive in an instant, and very close to Mapogu there are also two supermarkets. To get around the area, we rented the scooter that the Villa offered us and many times we solved the problem of some Grabs not coming up there. On the other hand, the area is super quiet, the room is fantastic. The staff was so kind, smiling and helpful (even by message). Unfortunately, it was not well understood that the restaurant is open from 8am to 3pm, but is always closed in the evening. Well, after asking a couple of times if we could book a table for dinner, they opened the restaurant just for us. So I would like to say that the staff, if possible, do anything to accommodate the guest. If you don't want to go out, you can eat in your room by ordering from GoFood, the delivery boys arrive at the reception at a very low price. The swimming pool of the private villa was in the shade, but on the contrary the swimming pool on the terrace was always sunny, in fact when we wanted to be in the sun we went upstairs. Usually there was never anyone on the terrace, probably because since they all had a swimming pool in their room, they preferred to be in their own privacy. Finally I would like to add that although it seems like a shady place to get to (particularly at night as there are no street lights), it is super quiet and super safe: people are always willing to help you... but that's exactly the wonderful thing about the people of Bali.
