Villa Kelusa Ubud is such a beautiful villa. We stayed at Pondok Sapi. It has rice terraces views from the Villa and a private swimming pool. Our family stayed for 4 nights in Villa Kelusa and we're really enjoyed and happy with their service. Wayan and his teams had been serving us very well and make our stayed very comfortable. They also made a beautiful and delicious breakfast every morning. I also had 2 floating breakfast on the 3rd day we stayed here. The floating breakfast is so beautiful. Although Villa Kelusa location is far from some of the attraction but it doesn't matter because the Villa itself is a good place to relax. Overall we really enjoyed our stay with Villa kelusa.

we had stayed in several locations in Bali prior to finding this villa and nowhere did we feel the peace, specifically the serenity, we felt here. we felt like it captured the true essence of bali. it was one of the most enchanting and beautiful places we had been to and for our spectacular stay we must thank the charming cats, the staff, specifically Wayan who was most helpful and accomodating to all of our needs, thank you!

Where to start? So it was 2nd time we visited Bali. On a 2 week holiday, we typically stay at 3 different locations, partly because we like different parts of the island, partly because we have already 1st time fallen in love with 2 locations, which we see as “homes” and because each location offers either luxury privacy or luxury hotel vibes. This time we decided, to stay at villa pondok surya, which is the less written villa of this 2 villa complex, because it looked so amazing in the adds. We are travellers, who do not compromise, when planning our holidays. It quickly became apparent, when communicating with Nopi from Red Louts agency, that this was a place we wanted to try. Up on arrival at the airport, we were met by a driver, who safely and quick brought us to the villa. From the moment the gate, to the property opened, we were lost for words! The beauty of the gardens, grounds, infinity pool and the villa left us breathless! It was even more magical then in the photos! To be honest, the description said very little, but it had so much to offer! Breakfast was included, there were different choices from a menu, which was prepared by a nice lady at a time that suits you. Nothing was brought to the table, before she saw you had come down, so everything was freshly prepared. Also which wasn’t mentioned, is that a daily return trip, from the villa to Ubud was included! The surrounding of the villa… omg! Nestled on the edge, of lush green rice terraces and the rainforest, the villa offers not only unbelievable views, but also privacy and silence, where only the sounds of nature were heard. The humming of nature never grew old, we loved it, especially at night when laying in bed, so peaceful and relaxing! The unforgettable baths, in the unique one piece wooden bath, overlooking the lush greenery or hanging on the edge of the infinity pool, looking at the local farmers working the fields, or into the rainforest, totally switching off and enjoying the moment. The villa offers an information book and a villa menu, we decided one evening to eat at the villa and had Indonesian dishes prepared for us by the villa chef, not only did it taste really nice, but it was actually cheaper then what we had the night before in Ubud and so much better! You got to try it! We were lucky that the 2nd villa was empty during our stay, we were allowed to also use the pool of that villa, one villa and 2 pools, never tried that before. The downstairs bathroom, offered total open air and amazing place, for a morning shower in nature. We were lucky to see fireflies, on the edge of the garden at night, amazing and dream like, coming from a cold climate where we don’t have them. Wayan the manager, from the moment of our arrival, made it clear to us, that him and his team were there, to do whatever we needed, to fully enjoy our stay. Do not be afraid to ask! We were both sad, checking out after a 2 night stay, it went over and beyond, what we had hoped

We were a group of 10 family members staying at Villa Kelusa. We had a very comfortable stay and the staff was very welcoming. We enjoyed our daily breakfast made according to our requests. The villa itself is gorgeous and well maintained. Just a point to note that the bathrooms are constructed in such a way that there are no doors. For privacy, we requested the staff to provide some kind of cover and they did a great job of accommodating our request and finding a solution. Overall a great stay!

We spent 5 days at Villa Kelusa, and can not rate the property high enough. We are a group of 4 couples had a wonderful stay. Plenty of space for everyone. Both of the house (Pondok Sapi & Pondok Surya) are beautiful design, immaculate and have everything we need during our stay. The two infinity pools are wonderful. The house is located in a small village of Kelusa, peace and quiet, away from hustle & bustle of central of Ubud. Pak Wayan and all the staff are very helpful and they will do anything to make our stay more comfortable. Breakfast is delicious with the choice of Indonesian or European dishes. We had dinner most of nights at the villa and I strongly recommend to do that, the food is delicious and I think it’s better than eating in the restaurant. We had a great fun walking around the rice field guided by Pak Made, he was so proud to tell us the history of the area and the agriculture. Pak Wayan organised a yoga teacher for us to come to the villa, we also had some spa treatment (massage) in the house. All can be organised for you. I wish I could give 6 stars out of 5! Thank you again for having us.

First and foremost. If there is ever a bad review for Villa Kelusa they clearly stayed at the wrong Villa! Two beautifully designed outside living Villas with the option of complete privacy set amongst immaculate landscapes & rice fields. Infinity Pools over looking the rice fields. One Pool running through the ground floor with a lovely wooden bridge, Pondok Surya where I stayed. All living & sleeping areas are massive in size. Bath tubs made in wood & natural stone are huge along with rain showers. Cleanliness is spotless. Food some of the best home cooked food I have tasted. All staff are welcoming, helpful, happy, kind & ready to assist with any request you could possibly need without being intrusive if you want a peaceful stay. Sang Ayu the Cook & Housekeeper - thank you for your amazing cooking and beautiful smile. I want some of your recipes please. Putu the Assistant - gentle, sweet, kind and very quiet and always around if you need anything. I could have easily packed him in my suitcase to be my house assistant. Maybe next time! Made Warsa - constantly working hard on the beautiful grounds & maintenance of the Villa who's rather strong at lifting suitcases to and from the Villa to your rooms. The Gardeners - without them those memorable photos you take home will not be possible. Check out my photos..... Finally Wayan - my first point of contact with excellent English who Manages the place to ensure all your needs are dealt with. He has extensive knowledge & will ensure your stay if perfect. I could carry on writing about my stay at Villa Kelusa but this is a review. I highly recommend Villa Kelusa actually I insist you stay as you will love it.

This is my 3rd time staying with Wayan and his team at Villa Kelusa. The accommodations are wonderful, meticulously clean with fast wifi for the digital nomads. It is an oasis of tranquility with Spa treatments available in the villa on request- two fabulous swimming pools and exquisite food. We simply love it at Villa Kelusa and will be back as soon as possible. One particular highlight for me was a walk with the gardener Madhi touring the paddy fields surrounding the Villa and local village - Madhi didn’t speak English (nor I Balinese) but we managed to communicate well and he proudly introduced and welcomed me to his home, friends and family - it was a special afternoon that I will cherish for a long time. I have traveled all over the world and this is a very special place that I cannot recommend highly enough. Enjoy your Stay John
