Pondanu Cabins by the Lake

I really enjoy my stay at Pondanu. The cabin is clean and very comfortable. The bed is comfortable and it has heater, which is really nice. The bathroom is spacious and clean, and they even gave an electric towel stand to dry your towel.A nice touch. The view from the room is dissapointing, though. I cant hardly see the lake. I purposely book "lake view" room so that I can see the lake. But the overall view from the hotel itself is great. They have restaurant, so you can order food and drink from them, since there is no restaurant around. You can canoeing or cycling for free, complementary of your booking. The staff is helpful and curteous too. I will definitely come back!!

A really beautiful stay in nature, on the lake and surrounded by the mountains— every morning we wake up to breathtaking natural sights! We opted for glamping so it was a new experience. Unfortunately the stay wasnt as peaceful as we hoped— the establishment is unfortunately in between two campsites with campers who made a lot of noise singing karaoke till late in the night (past 11pm) and blasted loud music early morning (when we woke up 7plus am for breakfast). At night the insect sounds were also very loud— you need to be really tired from day activities to be able to fall asleep at night from all that noise from insects and nearby campsites! Otherwise I would definitely recommend Pondanu Cabins— to be surrounded by such beauty of nature and delightful staff — is truly a blessing a life.

This property was a little hard to find. You have to turn off the main road and then drive through narrow roads to reach it. But boy did we have a pleasant surprise when we reached the property. It has all the amenities a traveler wants and more. As we drove in there was a small area in front of the reception where we could park our car. It was dark and no one was at the reception. We rang a bell there and very soon a girl came. She helped us with our luggage and lead us to our rooms. The rooms were of good size. The bathroom was large by standards with shelves and hanging for clothes. The shower had hot water that flowed instantly. Everything else was good. There was even an electronic drying rack so we could wash our clothes knowing that the rack would dry them by the next day. The room was clean with tv that has Netflix, kettle, coffee and tea. Best of all the bed could be heated with a touch of a switch. We did not know the area was that cold and so didn't bring cold stuff. So we were thankful for the heated bed. Set by the lake as its name implies, it has a tranquil a**osphere, yet at the same time not too far from civilization. The restaurant serves good food. Not exceptional but good enough. Breakfast choice was Indonesian or full American. They even send us goreng pisang daily as snack. We saw the tented rooms, and even those looked good though we did not stay in them but they faced the lake which make them even more idyllic. There is also a gym and massage room. I paid IDR150000 for a massage and it was good. Problem was they had only one masseuse and we had to take turns. We all definitely enjoyed the stay.

What a amazing location amazing views of the lake and the mountains together. Accommodation fantastic with a sun roof above bed if you wish too look at the sky. Heating for beds and towels, food was very good. Recommend this hotel if your looking for something different

We visited this place and of course, it really worth the drive of nearly 3 hours from Sanur. I love the space and a**osphere. Right after entering the place, you will love the cool air at the hill and explore the walk to river. Few places for sitting with food and drinks to chill out. However, one minus for food quality. They are all fail from my expectation. Not worth for money paying and they are all tasteless. Service staffs are nice and friendly. Only most concern with food quality not highly recommended.

It was a great time in a good location. They are easy to rent scooters at the hotel. Top location for checking out temple waterfall and just take a nice walk by the botanic Garden and also enjoy the lake Food and service in the restaurant was great We stayed in the deluxe tent with views over the lake and the mountains
