Very old villa and not well maintained.. bedsheets were not cleaned properly and had blood stains.. the pool is the only saving grace.. beware of the many mosquitoes but the villa did provide mosquito coil and repellent which was good.. location is good, can grab/giojek to nearby cafes easily.. taste of the breakfast can be improved.. lucky there are many cafes nearby to eat..

This time I lived in the largest villa with high cost performance. I am quite satisfied with living in villas. It only takes 8 minutes to walk to the beach. Don't go to the nearby spa for massage, go far away, nigh**are

The location was a little difficult to understand, but the room was spacious and the pool was beautiful. Since the flight was late at night, I decided to take a day off and relax in my room until just before the flight. When I told the front staff about it, it was a pity that the room had not been cleaned on the last day... The room was very nice.

The entrance to the villas is just along the Batu Belig road, so it is easy to find. There is also a small parking area in front of the lobby so that your transport(bike or car) could drive in to pick you up, instead of you having to wait along the main road under the sun. The staff are all very friendly and polite. If you do not mind providing your mobile no and use whatsapp, you can communicate with the receptionist via WA instead of calling them thru the landline. The villa is spacious. Bedroom has a king sized bed(i think), 2 bedside tables, a study table, a vanity table with mirror and a closet for clothes. The bathroom has a bathtub and an open shower area. Going out of the bedroom is the private pool. It is clean, except for the leaves falling into the pool. It is not a big pool but it is already one of the bigger ones in a 1-bedroom villa. You can have 3 complete strokes before reaching the other end. Lastly it is the living room and kitchen area. There is a sofa set and a TV, a kitchen with nearly all kitchenware. A microwave oven and a fridge are available. It has one of the most complete set of kitchenware as compared to other villas which I have stayed in. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. Wifi was stable and there were sufficient TV channels. There are many shops along Batu Belig, especially convenience shops. To get around, you can easily get a Grab or Gojek transport. One of the cons in this villas is the mosquitoes and ants. The villa is clean, but as there are plants all around the villa and it is a tropical country, there are mosquitoes. I am one who "attracts" mosquitoes and I do hate them. The villa will provide 2 mosquito coils per day but i bought my own box as i need 3-4 coils to be lit throughout the whole day. I would recommend the villa to provide cleaner mosquito coil containers though and maybe leaving a whole box of coils in each villa. As for the ants, I guess the best is to put some ant killer baits to at least reduce the no of ants. I was lucky that the ants were only roaming the kitchen and living room areas and not in the bedroom. Another thing is more of a design issue. The bedroom and the living room cum kitchen are 2 separate structures and one has to walk out of bedroom, walk on a short pathway and to the living/kitchen area. There is a small area(~2m) where there is no shelter and when it rains, one will get wet. Might be good to have continuous shelter. Overall, I had a very good stay in Awan Villa and would definitely recommend it.

The villas are in dire need of renovation! Many things are obsolete or in very poor condition. Broken floor tiles that move when walked on, moldy paint in the bathroom, dirty faucets full of limescale... abnormally many ants. Maintenance of the villas... is almost non-existent and let's not talk about cleaning. We found the places dirty. Worms by the dozen in the shower tray, lots of mosquitoes (like nowhere else in Bali...), dust and dirt under the bed. We stayed 7 nights and our sheets were never changed. The breakfasts are very mediocre... and stay on the table every other day until the next day... I'm not talking about the ants and insects. I usually come to Bali... and I was disappointed. The positive points are the staff, who are very friendly, the location: ideally located in Batu Belig, and the swimming pool which is very pleasant. But I will not return or recommend this establishment… unfortunately.

Our stay at The Awan Villas in Bali was unfortunately far from satisfactory. Initially checked into Room 4, we encountered an overwhelming mosquito problem, which seemed to originate from a breeding ground behind the shower. This issue was exacerbated by an outdoor shower area that was so unclean it was unusable. As someone familiar with dealing with mosquitoes in Asia, this was beyond anything I've encountered. The request to move to the duplex unit with an enclosed upstairs bathroom due to our 1-year-old daughter's safety concerns did little to improve our experience. The property's facilities were visibly aged, with peeling laminate, worn-out furniture, and generally run-down amenities. Despite the staff's efforts to address our concerns, the rooms remained subpar. Moreover, the location wasn't as close to the beach as advertised, contradicting the purported proximity. The recurring issues extended beyond the rooms: power outages, malfunctioning backup generators, doors that didn't seal properly, and difficulty in locking them. The hairdryer's limited power outlet usability and the constant power trips added frustration to our stay. The pool in both villas was unkempt, strewn with debris, far from the expected standard of cleanliness. While the breakfast was passable, it failed to meet expectations for a property rated at 4.5 stars. The preoccupation with inventory and warnings about payment for any broken items upon check-in created an unwelcoming a**osphere. The inventory check during checkout felt uncomfortably intrusive, akin to being treated as potential criminals. Despite the decent Wi-Fi, which was a small consolation, the overall experience was far removed from the advertised quality. Regrettably, I cannot recommend The Awan Villas, rating it far lower than its advertised 4.5 stars. A generous evaluation might grant it 2 stars, but my experience warrants only a 1-star rating. It's the first time leaving Bali relieved to return to a comfortable home environment—a stark contrast to the discomfort experienced at The Awan Villas.

Amazing place with a private pool. The property was a bit old but well maintained. The bathroom was also very spacious. The pool was amazing. Ideal place for couples, family and friends. The staff was very efficient and friendly. They even arranged a floating breakfast for us on request. We were able to rent a bike at a very low price from them. The location of the property is also very good. Situated on the main road. Easily accessible.

Before ordering, I had read other people's reviews of this Villa on TripAdvisor, and the price was very practical. When I saw the actual room at Dao Hotel, it was exactly the same as the photos on the Internet, and the service staff inside were very polite. We ordered 1 room + swimming pool, but it is actually a villa with 2 rooms. The swimming pool is very large. I originally thought there would be a problem with mosquitoes, but the hotel is very considerate and will automatically light mosquito coils at night. Although it is a bit far from the city, it is very quiet. There is a convenience store opposite the hotel. There is a super delicious Indonesian pork ribs 5 minutes’ walk away. If it weren’t for the scheduled trip 2 days later, I wouldn’t want to leave.
