The Ylang Ylang

A perfect place for a quiet and introspective getaway. PROs - beautiful architecture and layout - spacious and tastefully designed rooms - great acoustics - you don't hear noise from the other rooms - very professional staff - delicious food - good massages - didn't have to think about security coz it felt very safe - wifi worked well so you can still work while on vacation CONS - I really have nothing bad to say other than most taxis do not know where it is and the pin on Google Maps lead you to the main office of the villa and not the villa itself - You also can't swim on the beach because of the coral but we really didn't mind because the villa has 3 pools!

We stayed at the Ylang Ylang villa for 5 nights in Dec 2022 with a group of 10, including 4 seniors, 2 teenagers and a child. This is our first time staying in a villa and based on our experience, it will not be the last. Ylang Ylang has something to keep everyone occupied all the time. The teenagers and the kid loved the movie and games room, while the seniors were occupied with the spacious open areas and well appointed green spaces. We also engaged therapists to provide them with massages in the open spaces in the living area and that was very well received too. The sunrise and sunsets here are spectacular, not to mention that the villa and the pool are very photogenic and instangrammable. The Ylang Ylang generous with space, so everyone can have a quiet slice of space to himself/ herself. The Wifi covers all areas of the villa and its open spaces, so you are connected wherever you decide to be at. There are plenty of lounge chairs placed all over the lawn and pool, so pick your favourite spot (and drink), and chill. We went for 2 day trips to see parts of Bali and the staff arranged for a minibus for our family of 10. They were also helpful in recommending places to visit and where to have our meals based on our profile and preference. The highlight of our stay has to be the hospitality of the staff in the villa and the meals provided. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner was a treat, and the staff pampered us with their wonderful cooking and excellent service. On the last night we had a barbecue on the lawn under the sky and that was most memorable. A big shoutout to Kadek, Ketut and the rest of the staff in Ylang Ylang for the wonderful experience our family had. We highly recommend this villa for your next holiday in Bali.
