Modjo Villas Bingin

We rented the apar**ent situated outside the villa and nearer to the street. This review is for the apar**ent. While the apar**ent is spacious, the furnishings are bare and there is no tv. The bathroom is fine but the shower has very weak pressure. There are also ants and mosquitos in the apar**ent. There were two Aircon units but it barely kept the room cool. The worst part, however, was the noise from the street at all hours of the night. Our first (and last) night there we were unable to sleep due to the noise from the cars and motorbikes passing by. It has to be obvious to the owners of this apar**ent that the noise situation is extremely bad. The unit itself should, in no way, be rented out if the noise issue is not addressed. We left the next morning after a sleepless night and booked the rest of our stay at the intercontinental in uluwatu which was thankfully nearby. Our experience at the intercontinental was a night and day difference from our stay at this apar**ent. Do yourself a favor if you are considering booking a stay at this apar**ent, don’t. Book ANYWHERE ELSE and you will have a better experience than we did.

Modjo is a 4-bedroom 4 bathroom villa, with bohemian charm, landscaped grounds and a private pool. In a prime location in Uluwatu, it’s a short 15-min stroll from the beach. There is a lot of construction going on outside of the villa which could be a hinderance if you have trouble walking on uneven roads or pushing a pram. There are a few excellent Balinese restaurants close by within 2 mins walk from the villa. The staff were very efficient, very polite and the home cooked breakfast each morning made for a very relaxing stay. Perfect for a family group holiday or getaway with friends.

Pros: location. 5 min walk to restaurants and a beautiful beach view breakfasts, responsive stuff, quick late check in. Beds are comfortable. Nice and clean overall. Cons: super slippery tile when wet. Our tailbones suffered. Limited towels, no beach towels, no umbrellas. Sun beds weren’t ready to use. In the br1 bathroom rain wets the counter top and everything gets wet on it. Weren’t flexible with a late check out, although there was no booking ahead. Problems with a direct online payment processing. So we had to book via *******, although found this place elsewhere.
