Kayumanis Ubud Private Villas & Spa

Ubud
I really like the design style of the entire hotel. The plants, buildings, and people are perfectly integrated. The hotel also provides rich afternoon tea. The hotel decoration feels detailed and comfortable, luxurious but not ostentatious. Every detail is paid attention to. It is a wonderful accommodation experience. It is worth recommending.
Balam Bali Villa

Ubud
The environment is elegant and located on a country trail, with white cranes dancing in front of the green rice fields. The owner of the hotel should taste very good. The layout of the hotel is perfect. Get up early to watch the sunrise and enjoy the sunset in the evening. The traffic is a bit inconvenient due to the remote location, but it is easy to call a car and rent a motorcycle. It is also convenient and worth staying again.
Wana Shanti Villa

Ubud
The price/performance ratio is very high, the house is clean, there are few mosquitoes, hot water is sufficient, and the service is good. The only downside is that it is too far from the city. There is nothing around. It takes more than an hour to go back and forth on the road every day. If you are in Ubud for a short time, it is best to choose to live in the urban area. The cost of travel time is too high.

Ubud
The hostel is very nice both inside and out, clean and the family and staff are very friendly and accommodating! At the same time, part of the proceeds are donated to a charitable cause in the area. The breakfast offered is balanced and is freshly prepared between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The only small disadvantage is the distance to Ubud, which can be reached inexpensively within 10-15 minutes with Grab or a rented scooter. Many leisure activities such as water sports, quad biking or other tours can be booked from there.
Puri Taman Sari

This place is just a paradise in the tropical ricefields of Mengwi. Owned by a local noblesse it is located in a traditional village (Indo.: desa adat). The resorts offers you a genuine Bali experience that is gradually vanishing due to the surge of modernity and the influx of foreign infuences. During our stay coincidently the 3 days Odalan Ceremony took place at the local Prime Tempel (Pura Kahyangan Dalem), upon our request the staff helped us with traditional clothing and offering preparation to enable us to fully participate in the 3 days/nights of rituals, processions, dances, prayers and blessings. The breakfast was more than sufficient consisting of Balinesse and Western choices. The restaurant is also open for lunch, even when it is not explicitely mentioned. The dinner menu consists of Western and Balinesse choices as well and is very well prepared. For those who have trouble consuming flaming spicy asian food need not to be afraid of ordering Balinesse food, as the flaming spicy (Indo.: pedas) will come if you request fot it yourself. The Pumpkin and Corn soup are recommended, the kitchen is excelent. Our rooms were located in a valley and a swimming pool. Disliked · The whole complex although perfectly clean and continously well kept by staff has signs of aging, as humidity damage on walls and electricity sockets are becomming visible. Probably as most visitors are short stayers it wouldn't be of any nuisance, However it is a pity to see such a great place gradually deteriorating by aging, a small renovation on affected walls and electricity sockets will help this place for years to come.
Umasari Rice Terrace Villa

After a week in other more populated areas of Bali we landed in a wooden house here. Comfy bed, fridge, tea and coffee in the room and a bathroom with hot water and great water pressure was a treat. Sitting on the deck watching butterflies , birds and kites. We enjoyed several massages and many walks through the rice terraces which seem to go on forever. The aqueduct system is incredibly interesting and our host Putu, took me to visit a honey house of native bees where I got to see 50 hives in amongst a magnificent tropical fruit forest. Putu organised our motos($6/day) and had many suggestions for cooking classes and other cultural activities. This is an engage or retreat place. Food was good.
