Stayed one week in the Adair Arms Hotel. We intended having our evening meal there each night. However, having eaten there on our first night, the meal was that bad, we decided to change our plans. My burger was overcooked and bland, while my wife’s deep fried Brie was a disaster. Two of the cubes were empty and the coating on all was very hard. Additionally, the accompanying leaves were inedibly dry. Even the requested mayo didn’t help. It was just a disgusting starter. We used to live in Ballymena and often frequented this hotel for Sunday lunch. Obviously there is now a different chef. If you’re looking for good food, I strongly recommend you choose a different hotel. I also have to mention the cleaning of our room. My wife was in our room one day when the cleaner arrived. He spent a total of two minutes. He didn’t make the bed, nor did he clean the wash hand basin. He simply left two packets of biscuits and put fresh towels in the bathroom. No cleaning whatsoever. Definitely not a hotel we would recommend.
