True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. The interiors seamlessly transition from the ornate influences of the Art Nouveau era to a more streamlined approach, evident in the hickory wood furniture adorned with Ash’s custom textiles. And oh, those hand-beaded lampshades and embroidered quilts! They added the perfect splash of color and quirk. A special shout-out to the carved flamingos that support the bedside tables, a delightful nod to Baltimore's own John Waters and his ”Pink Flamingos.” It's this mix of opulence and eccentricity that makes the Ulysses stand out. Booking through Trip.com was a new experience for us. A bit unconventional, sure, but it came through in the clutch. The $35 ”destination fee” threw us for a loop initially, but the $20 credit we received towards our bill at the hotel restaurant (Ash Bar) or the bar (Blooms) made it all worth it. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers. I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 night stay at Hotel Indigo. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was well appointed with nice furnishings and was clean. The bed was comfortable. The room had 2 large windows with a city view. Housekeeping came daily and provided excellent service. The public areas/lobby were nice and clean too. The lobby has a large area with abundant seating, a large fireplace and tv. My only suggestion would be to update the tv to a smart tv for access to Netflix and other apps.

The hotel is small, but the sanitation is very good, and the breakfast is also good. The parking lot is across the road. You can park your car at the entrance of the hotel to check in. I thought it was 5 yuan to park, but when I left, I realized that it was 5 yuan to leave at 6 am. , we left at 10 and paid $18 for parking, the room had a fridge, no microwave.

My employer puts me up in this hotel several times a year. I've probably stayed here 15 times in the last two years. It's an aging hotel that is trying to keep going, but it's badly in need of renovation. One major complaint I have with hotels in general, and this one in particular, is their use of covid as an excuse to cutail housekeeping services. There's never any room cleaning during my visit. I have to ask at the desk for clean towels, more coffee, etc. This morning I saw a mouse under the desk, which scampered away behind the fridge when I scared it. Unbelievable! I've never seen a rodent in a hotel room before. I imagine with the lack of housekeeping there are plenty of crumbs to keep the mice in business. On a positive note, the front desk staff are usually very helpful at this hotel. The other day my car was covered in snow, and one of the employees let me borrow his snow brush to clean off my car.

Wherever you are away from the city centre, the hotel is large and spacious! 10 minutes from the harbour in the city, but the fast distance is the need to pay the toll! Come on near the supermarket, a lot of supermarkets! Overall good! 24-hour reservation transfer service

The hotel was very beautiful. The bar and restaurant were comfortable but the drinks were very overpriced. The hotel accommodated an early check in without a charge which was a bonus. They did charge a $200 fee - which will be returned to my account, but I was not expecting that charge.

The hotel location is very good, right by inner habor, easy access to the harbour, there is a supermarket next to it, and shopping is very close

This hotel is conveniently located across from Live ****** which is great. They are clearly short staffed - there is no daily housekeeping and the bar was only open for one night as their bartender did not show up for his shift the next night. The check in line was long, only one woman working, but she never lost her smile and made it a pleasant experience. In fact, everyone we encountered was very nice. The room was average, weird layout and no microwave. The bathroom was gross. The showerhead leaked so there was a puddle of water in the shower when we got in. Then the seal on the door was broken so water leaked out everywhere. The wallpaper was torn and there was evidence of mold

I have stayed at this hotel on and off for the past few months . every time I come here . The front desk manager Norma always goes above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Thursdays and Sunday every time I see her she's working very hard to make sure everyone as satisfied as possible with their room and everything that involves their stay here. I spent one weekend night here. My GPS took me to the stores in front of the hotel. I was in a Williams and Sonoma parking lot so if that happens to you, just know you need to follow the road next to the parking garage to behind the Williams and Sonoma and you'll find the hotel. Not the hotel's fault, I'm just mentioning it in case it happens to you too. The two gentlemen at the front desk for check in were both very nice. I went to my room and found it to be clean and very spacious. It was very dark though and the whole inside of the room and hotel just seems old. The room was pretty hot when I got in there but it was the hottest weekend of the year and I figured had just been hotter because housekeeping turned the temperature up like a lot do after somebody checks out. At check in, I had asked about a restaurant but they said that theirs closed during Covid and never reopened. They did give me a sheet with a bunch of local recommendations for other restaurants. I picked one of those and when I went back to the lobby to go eat, I overheard workers talking about the broken AC. So the reason my room was hot is because the whole hotel's AC had gone out. This just happens, I get it. I'll say that the hotel had somebody out there in just a couple hours to have it fixed and my room was getting cool by the time I was ready to go to bed which was good. Unfortunately, I had to leave at 0745 on Saturday morning and their breakfast doesn't start until 0800 on the weekends. It's earlier on a weekday. I wish this policy would be changed. The price was reasonable and the location was pretty convenient for what I was in town for. I'm not sure I would stay here again though if I ever end up staying in Baltimore again.
