If you are looking for somewhere different and authentic to stay to break up your journey between Kathmandu & Pokhara then this is an experience you won't forget. We only stayed for 1 night which is enough given there isn't much to do in Bandipur and we were made to feel very welcome & the staff helped us celebrate our silver wedding anniversary which was a lovely touch. The building is very old and so creaky but given we were the only guests it was very quiet. The food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Authentic old style hotel with fabulous food and service. Rooms have stunning views of the Himalayas. Rooms were lovely staying true to the authentic style with modern facilities. I was made very welcome and every member of staff made me feel very welcome.

Hotel in the heart of the village (pedestrian so you can pick up your suitcases from the car park). It is a traditional house with different rooms. Mine had a view of the Himalayas. Good meal in the evening and continental breakfast (yogurt, cereal, egg, bread, jam) served on the garden terrace with a view of the Himalayas. Roof terrace to watch the sunset and sunrise over the Himalayas. WIFI throughout the hotel.

We only stayed one night here visiting the charming and scenic Bandipur. The hotel itself is simple and the rooms are quite basic but it has a real sense of history given the age of the building. The owner was very really friendly and the overall service was exceptional. Dinner al fresco in the terrace was a real highlight of our holiday. The food was superb and the romantic ambience unsurpassed. A really great experience.

Superb small hotel with an authentic flavor in the heart of this wonderful place that is Bandipur... the rooms are very intimate, they give off a very warm scent, as a bonus, the view is top, the bedding is very good... bonus, for cool evenings, the mattress is heated!! Also note, a very complete catering menu, very appreciable, and a caring staff!! I recommend asn hesitate!!

Had a great time here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The chef even comes out during the evening meal to ensure you are happy with your meal. Basic room, but very clean and shower was fab. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Guan Ghar is an absolutely stunning hotel, built in traditional Nepali style. The views from our window were unbelievable. Nitu and the staff were super friendly and a lot of fun, and the food was the best we’d tasted in Nepal. Don’t miss the Sikarni! There’s lots to see around Bandipur, its a beautiful village - very clean and calming. Would highly recommend, we’re already planning a return to Guan Ghar next year.

The rooms are rather small and rather simple by modern standards (the bathroom was great, but the rooms were small, the bed was a bit small, only shutters and no windows). The great look of the building, a great view, tasty food and above all the extremely friendly service made our overnight stay an experience.
