"Very charming hotel with a lot of character. I had a room facing the bazaar which was great when it wasn't raining. Food at the hotel was excellent and staff very friendly. Only issue is that the ceiling are low in the building so watch your head."

"Interestingly there are two Good Hotels , Two Old Hotels etc in Bandipur I’m guessing the owners opened one then another later. The one I stayed in isn’t the one in the picture it’s the other one but owned by the same people. My run was run by teenagers but despite that was fine. Not the cleanest but the room was decent facing the back is best as it quieter and the views are great. Foods ok like most places in the village. The bed was remarkably comfortable. Value I would say was excellent. Only issue would say as it’s solar heated the showers are cold when there’s no sun and the weather was awful when I was there. It’s in a pedestrian zone so you or whoever will need to carry your bag a long way. Overall good value for money"

"The Mountain Resort will always stay in my mind as the most spactacular view I ever had from my hotel window. Situated on the heights of lovely Bandipur, at the end of a long lawn, the resort is half hanging on the cliff, surrounded by lush jungle. Service was OK (booked by my tour operator, so I have no idea of the price...), the restaurant was so-so, but from the balcony just outside the restaurant and above all on the roof terrace of the adjacent building where my room was situated are breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. I went up to the terrace with my tripod and camera gear at dusk, shot my heart out and was back in my room 2 minutes after packing. I can assure you those are amongst the best pictures I have made in Nepal. So if you're interested in making awesome pictures, bring Coca-Cola and buiscuits in your luggage to avoid the insipid restaurant menu, and book with confidence, the pictures you'll bring back are far more important, you'll have a decent meal somewhere else. The view you won't..."

"Last week, 16 th of April 2025 we have visited Historic Newari village of Bandipur, Nepal, We were searching the peaceful , neat and clean hotel near the Tudikhel area of Bandipur because of huge public ground to walk in the morning with fresh air of holy Tree called 'Pipal' So we have been there and saw some good hotels but we found the Durbar Himalaya with a traditional architectural style exterior and interior and courtesy receptionist , we decided to stay there. New building, spacious room, bathroom and private balcony as well. Very simple and traditionally decorated impressive restaurant attached with lobby served very tasty and hygienic breakfast. We found the friendly and service orientated staff as well as special thanks to Mr Bais Gurung, Managing Director of this beautiful hotel for his kind attention."

"Samira Homestay in Bandipur is located in a perfect location to be close to the pedestrian only market area, as well as set out on the day hike attractions. I think this location is superior to the other locations I saw which were harder to get to and likely noisier at night. The hosts at Samira went an extra step for me when I accidentally left my journal in the dining room and did not realize it until I had reached Kathmandu. I contacted Samira and they worked out finding another guest who would be traveling to Kathmandu the next day and could bring me my journal. For that I am extremely grateful. Bandipur in general was a bit busier than I expected, and I prefer a calmer center of town, with quieter nights. However, the day hikes I did, one to Ramkot and one to the Sidda Cave, were very worthwhile, and made up for the less inspiring town center."
