I cannot recommend this place highly enough for solos and couples. It has such a warm environment. There's a kitchen for guests to use. It is off the beaten track but still only a short walk to town. And the walk is lovely! The owners are very knowledgeable on the area and so welcoming. We stayed in a deluxe king room which was spacious and clean with a cute balcony and was perfect for sitting outside with a hot chocolate while it snowed.

The Inn has a unique feeling of a cross between a boutique hotel and home away from home. Warm and cozy, the rooms are clean and well outfitted with high quality beds and linens. The private bathrooms have been recently renovated. Although the Inn hasn't served a buffet breakfast since 2018, they have a full access kitchen featuring all the amenities needed to create your own meals (induction burners, oven, pots/pans etc.) The kitchen is immaculate and it was a treat that they did our dishes for us-- a service to us, and a way to keep the high standards of cleanliness! Assorted teas from The Banff Tea Company, and delicious coffee from The Banff Roasting Company are available 24hrs. We loved that we could enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace and converse with the other guess, yet the shared space is large enough to have a corner to yourself to read a book or catchup on emails with your laptop. Excellent, quiet location with a beautiful five minute walk into town.

We drove up from Idaho so we appreciated the free parking. I brought eggs, bacon, veggies, & used their kitchen to make a delicious omelet. They did the dishes & provided oil & salt & pepper. The fridge was available to store our supplies. They provided pour-over coffee, cream and non-dairy alternatives, along with various breads & cereals. I enjoyed the oversized bathtub while my husband used the shower. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, & sincerely wanted to make sure our stay was the best. We also enjoyed the shortcut path down to the walking bridge which led to the park where there was a Farmers' Market taking place on Wednesday afternoon. We had dinner at the Bluebird wood-fired Steakhouse which was fabulous. We will be back!

More like a hostel than a boutique inn. More like that junior year of college sharing a house with some uber-quiet roommates who had lots of rules and who you felt were silently judging you. The queen room was disappointingly small. If you can get this place for under $200 per night then not bad, but don't pay more. The location was a 10 minute walk to town, which we did enjoy on the pathway system.

I found the room itself to be okay. I value a room as a clean place to wash up and sleep as I spend my time elsewhere. The Inn was pleasant with 3 young women acting as the hostess', room service, etc. The women were very nice and quite accommodating. The inn is set up like a B&B. It offers a self serve modest breakfast set up but the adjacent kitchen, (with full sized refrigerators!) is open for your use 6 am till 9 pm. They had good coffee and you were welcome to make a 'pour over' anytime you wanted one. They kept the kitchen very clean and washed all the dishes for you in a commercial dishwasher. The inn also had a dinning area with several four person tables and everything you need to dine with. The dining room had large glass windows with a lovely view. There was also a large living/sitting room. The inn's location is very good. The inn is on the rivers side of downtown Banff which is the side of Banff with a lovely pedestrian bridge, the river walk, Tunnel Mnt., many museums, The Cascade of Time gardens, the Cave and Basin National Historic Site and the walk to Sunset Canyon; the side of Banff you will want to be on. The 'overall' here is, if you're okay with a B&B vibe, this is a pretty good choice. I would stay there again if I'm luck enough to visit Banff in the future. My only four star rating was due to lack of disclosure of some things on their website regarding the accommodations and amenities.

This inn has an interesting setup as the main floor is a big common area containing a large seating and lounge area plus a kitchen. They even have some board games. Each room is assigned a bin in the main fridge to store your foods. They provide hot plates for cooking, and some basic breakfast items like oa**eal and fixings for that along with coffee and some nice loose-leaf teas. I would say this common area was the highlight for us as it was particularly pleasant to sit downstairs and look at the scenery, or even eat meals (we did takeout a couple of times). Despite being one of the busiest weeks of the year, there were seldom people in the main room except during breakfast. The rooms themselves are decent, but highly inconsistent. We stayed in a queen room, the one that's shown on their website which was a good floorplan, spacious windows, and had nice views. The other couple we traveled with also stayed in a queen room for the same price but it was smaller and hotter and much less pleasant for them. When they complained, they were told they often get complains about rooms 4 and 5. The website claims all rooms have a bar fridge. That's not true. The king rooms do, not the queen rooms. Our room was a reasonable size although tight enough that you don't really want to hang out there. Our friends, well, they really didn't want to hang out in their even smaller room. With temperatures going up every year, the lack of AC made it uncomfortably hot most days until after dark (10pm or so) when finally things would cool off. Our friends' room had a southern exposure so they often kept their door open to let a breeze through. The staff were friendly & nice. They were seasonal workers that put in long shifts, so you get to know them fairly quickly. They handle cleaning of all the dishes so you can focus on just making and using what you want which is nice in that you're not spending your vacation time cleaning up after yourself. Overall, it was good, but pricey.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were greeted by Maya at check in who was lovely, gave us all the info we needed about the Inn and a quick tour. There’s a shared kitchen to use if needed and you just leave your washing up in a bowl and they’ll sort it for you. Breakfast isn’t included but they do provide a small selection of porridge, granola etc along with tea, coffee and a few milk options to help yourself to in the mornings. It feels very homely! All the staff we met were super friendly but it’s also a very private stay - if they don’t see you as you leave for the morning, they’ll message checking if you need anything, towels changed etc. It feels very much like your room is your little private home for the duration of your stay. The rooms are a good size and very clean. Location fantastic - very short walk into the centre of Banff (5 mins) but located down a very quiet road. Walking in the opposite direction also takes you to the Cave & Basin boardwalk which was great (and free!). We saw an elk munching on the house next doors plants in the driveway which was a nice surprise. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if in Banff - super friendly, well priced (Banff is NOT cheap but this hotel is very reasonable!) and an all round wonderful stay.

I would recommend staying here if in Banff. The location is ideal - just a short walk from town and easy access to all the nearby trails such as Bow River and Falls trail. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is coffee making facilities in the shared kitchen and a comfortable dining space to relax in. They even provide milk and cream and you just leave your dirty cups/plates in a bowl for them to wash up! Stay here if you can! Highly recommend!

The accommodation was clean and good, and the location near enough to Banff to make it walkable. ' However, we were expecting breakfast to be provided, as advertised on their website, and so our first morning there, while we enjoyed the coffee, had nothing to eat. We learnt that you have to bring in your own food for breakfast. There were also no glasses in our room, and with our late arrival, could not take medication that night. Also found the rules a bit much - like having to take off our shoes before we registered in the house or entered the dining room. And then there was the sign in the bathroom, warning that we would be charged if towels or bedding got soiled. Not exactly friendly feeling and staff didn't give out warm vibes either.
