Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok

Silom/Sathon Bangkok|1.93km from Holy Rosary Church

Latest booking 2 hrs ago

I had the pleasure of staying at The Montien for 3 weeks 2 months ago when on a company-booked trip. My room and bed were extremely comfortable and spacious, with plenty of natural light and unobstructed views, quality amenities including a Nespresso machine. The Montien decor is modern, Thai style and beautiful. The breakfast buffet is bountiful, with plenty of variety. Pierre Pelletier, the Area General Manager and his team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was outstanding! Then this month when my family and I planned a vacation to Bangkok I picked this hotel as our base. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the sky and underground trains, many must-go-to restaurants, cafes, Siam Paragon, temples, Chinatown, night walks and more. We were welcomed with incredible 5-star Thai hospitality. Special mention to Khun Nu, her front desk team and night manager Khun Jew for handling flight delays, airport transfers and arranging pick up of lost luggage, Khun Tik for his world-class warm welcomes, Max’s regular assistance and taxi coordination, the ever-helpful and polite bellmen, Beer remembering our morning coffee preferences, Kae at Ruenton restaurant for looking after us at dinners, friendly Tanya at the lobby bar, the housekeeping team for keeping our 3 rooms impeccable and everyone who made our Bangkok vacation so memorable! It felt like our home away from home and we enjoyed our time here so much!

Ago Hotel Chinatown

Silom/Sathon Bangkok|0.45km from Holy Rosary Church
We stayed here as part of our hotel-hopping experience in Bangkok. We stayed at AGO Chinatown Hotel, Park Hyatt, Capella, and Four Seasons. (All reviewed separately). It was difficult to choose from the plethora of hotels in Bangkok but we selected this one based on its proximity to Chinatown and the quality of the Breakfast served. This small hotel is brand new, yet has a quaint and boutique feel. The owner has decorated the lobby with family heirlooms and antique furniture. I could tell this is a labor of love. The cosy rooms are neat and comfortable, with wood floors, new showers, and Villeroy & Boch sinks. Our room was facing the canal, not quite Venice or Amsterdam, but delightful nonetheless. I slept well on the firm bed that is typical in Asia. The highlight of our stay was their farm-to-table breakfast. The Signature Smoothie was one of the best smoothies I've ever had. It's made from fresh kale harvested from their garden, pineapple and banana. They had my favorite congee with homemade Thai dishes by a local chef. Their garden salad with sesame dressing is a must-try. They also offer gourmet coffee, cappuccino and espresso. Frankly, their breakfast alone was worth the room rate, which I feel is an absolute steal. The owner Vee was kind enough to give us a guided foot tour of the historical area adjacent to the hotel. He also recommended some amazing street food and restaurants near the hotel. We tried the best Boat Noodles, Michelin star Pad Thai, Crab Fried Rice, Shark Fin Soup (sorry animal lovers) and went to an open-air restaurant with wine, steak, and jazz music. There's also delicious Suckling Pig and street-food galore in Chinatown. This is the best hotel for Foodies in Bangkok!

Small and very dirty room (traces on walls, unsafe toilets, closed spoons, dust from everywhere on TV on furniture..), refusal of visa payment while existing stickers , reception in another hotel, The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a very good hotel. The environment is not quiet or even dangerous.. FAY !!!! A EXPERIMENT ONLY !!!!

I loved Tiny Taladnoi so much my 1 night stay turned into 5 nights. The people are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotless, the breakfast is not just toast and coffee, lots of fresh fruit and different pastries. The free water refills, shower gel and shampoo are and added bonus. The Tiny Taladnoi is an easy walk from Hua Lamphong station and very close to Chinatown and the river where you can catch ferries most places you might want to go. I’ll be stay here again.
Four Sisters Homestay

Firstly, the booking under Four Sisters Homestay turned out to be in a mixed dorm which was a no, no for us two ladies (the info on trip.com did not state that this hostel ONLY has MIXED dorms so please be aware of this!) but the guy at Four sisters called the sister hostel which operates under the name, LOFTEL, which has all types of dorms and he transferred our booking to a female only dorm at LOFTEL HOSTEL without any hassle! He even walked us over to the LOFTEL HOSTEL and sorted out the change in booking without any further cost - what great service! So, my review is actually on the sister hostel called LOFTEL HOSTEL as that is where we ended up staying. So LOFTEL HOSTEL:- Excellent hostel! Great service, friendly and helpful staff! Rooftop lounge, restaurant - great food! Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Towel, shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer provided free. Loved the layout and setup of this hostel. Very close like 5 minute walk to Hua Lamphong train station and 10 minute walk to the ferry. Both the night and the day lady receptionists were very helpful explaining and showing us how to get around to the sights on the map. Five out of five stars!!
Bunny Burrow Hostel

Nice clean rooms with good air conditioning. This little hostel is only a short distance from the riverside, shops, and the train station, which is great for any backpacker. The shared bathrooms were very clean and functional. However, the hostel requests that you do not wash your clothes in the sinks which can be annoying, but they do have washing machine that you can use for a small price, as well as laundry airers on the roof. With curtains on the sides of the bunks and lockers in the rooms (bring your own lock), the room are very private and practical for a hostel.
Talakkia Boutique Hotel

I don't know why the previous reviews are so bad. Compared with five-star hotels, this one is definitely not high enough, but it is about 200 a day homestay, so clean and cost-effective. The real thing is exactly the same as the hotel photo. And it's not far from Chinatown, subway station and N3 terminal. There are 7-11 around, and there are many places to sell snacks. Although the directions at the front desk are all in English, they are very warm, concise and easy to understand. In short, normal travel is still very recommended. If it's not bad money, it's a different matter. The area is not large, but it is sufficient. The air conditioning and other facilities are awesome! satisfaction!

The service was great! Concierge was very helpful from the beginning until the end. Nat from the feast was friendly and nice, as well as Ron from the Giorgio’s italian restaurant. They were all warm and took care of us, made sure we are comfortable while dining. Will surely go back!
