Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai

Booked the Eastin Grand Hotel with breakfast through an early bird deal. It's still a relatively new hotel. The direct overhead walkway from Airport Rail Link's terminus, Exit 1, to the hotel is extremely convenient. The only minor inconvenience is needing to transfer to the BTS to get to the city center. Alternatively, you can walk about 15-20 minutes towards Pratunam, passing a Big C and a shopping mall along the way. Service: The front desk staff were polite and escorted guests to the elevator after check-in. Facilities: There are two swimming pools, a lounge, and a spa. The breakfast buffet was outstanding 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 – even after eating it for three days straight, it didn't get boring. Perfect for a relaxing trip. The pool on the 22nd floor can get a bit chilly if you spend half a day there. It was a nice surprise that the hotel sent a birthday cake for my birthday trip. Definitely worth trying! 😁😁😁

This hotel is simply superb, I highly recommend it to everyone. The location is convenient, with a direct metro exit into the hotel. The pools were magnificent, both on the 22nd and 37th floors. The breakfasts were among the best I've had in any hotel over the past year. The rooms are gorgeous, and I really liked the decor. We didn't hear any noise from our neighbors. The shower was wonderfully spacious. We stayed on the 28th floor, and the views were absolutely stunning. We thought we'd be out exploring Bangkok, but we loved the room and the hotel so much that we ended up spending more time relaxing by the pool and in our room with a city view.

The location is absolutely amazing, and it's incredibly child-friendly! The hotel service was also super nice. My child suddenly got bacterial conjunctivitis, and after 10 PM, I couldn't find any medicine anywhere. The front desk staff was so thoughtful; she helped me download an app, register, and communicate, so we successfully bought eye drops. A huge thumbs up!

Extremely convenient location. Heading back to Hong Kong was a breeze; I just walked from the hotel directly to the Airport Express station, and I was at the airport within half an hour. So convenient! I booked a room with executive lounge access. The evening lounge offerings were incredibly rich, with a wide selection of special drinks and free-flowing wine. The pool was fantastic! So relaxing. My family and I stayed for a few days, and it was a truly luxurious experience! All the staff were friendly, polite, and very welcoming.

If you ever want to step into a fairy tale, come to Eastin Grand. It's more than just a hotel; it's a palace where you feel like a true princess. Everyone smiles, greets you, and wishes you a good day as you walk by. The service is top-notch. The room is wonderful, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. There are many thoughtful and charming details: a chocolate by the bed with a goodnight wish, cookies in a jar on the table, and milk for coffee. This is the fourth hotel we've stayed at during our trip to Thailand, and it's the first time I've seen a room with even bath salts and different types of slippers: one pair for the room and another for the pools. And what a comfortable bed! You fall asleep instantly, and you really don't want to get up in the morning. :))) You can swim in the pools and watch Bangkok, first in the daylight, and then see the evening lights come on as the city transforms into a sparkling, colorful metropolis. Breakfast on the 5th floor is delightful! It's hard to describe the feeling of sitting at a table with a delicious cup of coffee and a freshly baked croissant, with the wonderful city and the Baiyoke Sky Tower before your eyes. The selection of dishes is astounding, featuring cuisines from various countries around the world. And the dinner dishes in the lounge are so beautifully presented that it almost feels a shame to eat them. You just want to admire every detail. Everything is incredibly delicious. Everyone mentions the hotel's location in every review, but I'll say it again: it's the best in the city, perfect for trips to the airport, shopping, and exploring the city. We absolutely loved it! We already miss it. ❤️

On the second night, we booked a deluxe room and the price difference was about 600-700 HKD per night. The only difference in the deluxe room was the addition of a bathtub – the decor was the same. They still didn't provide disposable slippers, which was disappointing. The bathroom door couldn't close completely, which is quite odd for a luxury hotel. The toothpaste came in paper packaging 😂, just like a budget hotel in mainland China 😂. The fruit falling from the trees by the pool made the water quite cloudy, and perhaps because of this, the chlorine levels were very high. The breakfast selection wasn't as rich as other hotels; it was just average. We complained to the duty manager about the bathroom door not closing. He offered us a complimentary private transfer to the airport, but we declined as we already had our own driver. For a hotel in Bangkok costing 2,000 HKD per night, I believe the value for money is extremely low. I do not recommend staying here.

The hotel boasts excellent views, especially the infinity pool at night. Its close proximity to the BTS Skytrain station is a huge plus, given how bad Bangkok's traffic can get. However, the toiletries aren't quite five-star quality – there's no body lotion, and the conditioner is a 2-in-1 with the shampoo. Also, there's no bathtub.
