I booked an executive room with a king bed, but when I got there, I was given a corner room, which was not in line with the pictures. I later changed it to a twin room, but the price was lower than the executive room I booked before, and I didn't refund the difference. Half of the gym equipment was broken.

The room is big and clean.
The location is a little off, and it takes ten minutes to walk to the main road, but the advantage is that the room is quiet and the soundproofing is good. Overall, it feels very cost-effective and pretty good.

The hotel is located just a short walk from the main nightlife areas and a large shopping mall which had a combination of designer brand stores and local stores selling unique items. There are lots of restaurants and fast food options, again both western and local. I would recommend downloading the 'Grab' app as you're able to order taxi's and bikes, or even food and other things. The Tuk Tuk's will try to charge you more than you should pay, if you're only driving 10 minutes it shouldn't really be more than 50-120 Thai Baht.
The Golden Tulip is also located 100 yards from a 7/11 store which is convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, they booked a taxi for me when I wanted to leave for the airport and set a price with the driver. The Hotel's pool is really nice and a good size, the picture I have uploaded is just a quarter of the pool.
