Hotel Amber Sukhumvit 85

Sukhumvit Bangkok|1.26km from Vigor Massage
This is a really great hotel with attentive and friendly service all round. The bed is the comfiest I have ever slept in and the room is very spacious and clean. We didn’t pre-book breakfast through Trip, but you can just walk in and pay 150bht pp for a good selection of breakfast items including delicious Thai options and other more western items- cereal etc. The service again is excellent in the restaurant. People attend each day to clean your room and will work around your schedule. Even if we have not left the room until the afternoon, we would still return later to find fresh towels, bottles of drinking water in the fridge and the bed made up. The hotel is set back from any busy roads so you get peace and quiet but can access any where in the city very quickly - On Nut BTS station is just a 5 minutes walk away. The only very slight negatives would be that the pool is smaller than it appears in the pictures. However it is clean and perfect for a quick dip to cool off and as it is rooftop, there are great views over the city and beautiful sunsets from there. We also had a slight inconvenience when adding an extra night onto the booking. We were told at the time by the reception staff that breakfast was included in the price. However, we were told after having breakfast this wasn’t the case. This made the last night more expensive than the nights we booked through Trip.com . Overall would definitely recommend this place!

The property is relatively new and is situated along the On Nut BTS 5 mins walk which was conveniently accessible location wise. The rooms are spacious with a splendid decor given the value for money per night. The reception team was fantastic, friendly and warm during my 15 days at the property. Housekeeping always maintained the rooms to be spotless. I would highly recommend this place to all travellers visiting here. Special thanks to Sandy the duty manager, Pop and BB for all you wonderful assistance to make my stay pleasant and productive. I will return soon in the future for sure!
Shan Villas Sukhumvit

Our stay at Shan villas was excellent! This is a new hotel in the heart of Bangkok and it did not disappoint! Great location, a short trip from the On Nut Station. The villas are spacious with a great open air concept, beautiful interior and really beautiful pool! We highly recommend booking the jacuzzi villa as you can spend time with your friends in a villa that is very reasonably priced! We had the warmest welcome from all Staff members and we treated exceptionally well, they made us feel at home instantly and assisted us at all times for anything we might have needed, our stay was truly made by the incredible service we received, the food was the highlight of the stay! We opted for the floating breakfast and it was amazing, and a night at the rooftop dome dining experience, the food was delicious and top quality seafood too! Very fresh and both options of Thai and Western food! We would definitely stay at Shan villas when we are back in Bangkok! A huge thank you to all the staff who made our stay so memorable! We will be back and would highly recommend this stay!
Lee Garden Bangkok

Overall, Lee Garden really lives up to its name - it’s a garden. The building is infested with rats, mice, pigeons, red ants, and cockroaches! There was a mouse in my room and if you're lucky enough you may see a few that were caught in the lobby awaiting their fate. The balcony is filthy and has bird poop everywhere. The elevators! They went out of order every few weeks and used to fail by FALLING DOWN to the FIRST FLOOR when overloaded. NO JOKE, the receptionist, a farang and I had to RESCUE a family because the elevator fell down the elevator shaft. TAKE THE STAIRS unless you want a trip to Bangkok Hospital!! The running water is always warm and the rooms are old and hot. You literally have to run the A/C 24/7 or else you'd die of a heat stroke. Another bonus is that you can actually hear your neighbors through the electric sockets! As for service, the receptionists are the meanest and rudest people in Bangkok (one even yelled at me). After telling you all this, if for some reason you do decide to stay here, maybe the fact that the receptionist told me that valuables were stolen from the rooms will change your mind. Honestly, had I know about all these issues, I wouldn't stay here even one night if you paid me.
