We went as a family of 5 and loved the place. Felt that it was great value, the rooms were warm and cosy and it was well set out. I loved the food, too and there were a really nice selection of facilities, especially the multiple saunas and steam room. The staff were really helpful and the 24hr concierge was useful. We were given a free packed lunch for the journey when we left, which left a nice taste in the mouth. Pun intended. The only criticisms I have are one, that breakfast needs to start at 7.00am (7.30 is too late and I had to miss it most days) to be able to get to ski hire and then to queue for the gondola. And two, the life guard. He is an absolute joke. He stands out in the corridor, far from the pool barely paying attention to the pool, so by the time he realised someone was drowning (if he even noticed, due to being too busy moaning at other staff that he was actually expected to do his job), they would have already drowned. His attitude stunk worse than festival toilets. He seems to hate his job and resent the fact that he is expected to save lives... or even be there at all. In fact it would be safer to not have him there at all, as at least you'd know you aren't counting on someone to pull you out, should you go under for a third time. To summarise, the life guard was below average.
