Ruskovets Thermal Spa & Ski Resort

"If you are looking for a quieter place near Bansko, Ruskovets is a very good option. It is located in Dobrinishte, surrounded by nature and fresh mountain air. We really enjoyed the location – close enough to Bansko, but without the noise and crowds. There are also great opportunities for hiking in the Pirin Mountains. The apartment was large and comfortable, more like a small home than a hotel room. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The SPA with mineral water is a big plus, especially after a day outside. A very good choice for people who prefer relax and nature over busy resorts."

"I DO NOT AGREE AT ALL with the many bad reviews I read about this hotel before I came to it : everything was OK. Maybe the hotel is not very new but it is clean and in good condition. Everyone will feel comfortable while relaxing in the garden or having a drink at the bar. Good swimmers will LOVE the large hotel pool. The food is excellent, we had very good time in the restaurant. The rooms offer good equipment, enough space and often a balcony. There was no AC in my room but it was absolutely unnecessary : there, even in july when days are hot, nights are very cool and no one could seriously complain about the heat at night. Another good point is the staff: it is very professional, well-organized and always helpful. The lady at the reception speaks french fluently and is even ready to share with you how she loves the city by offering a guided tour of it. To make a long story short, I had an excellent stay !"

"Hotel is not 4* hotel, with old room,not working safety box, with terrace than can’t be closed properly. In hotel was in time that we were some children camp and music and children was very loud which was problem because we were with a baby. Breakfast was ok, but they expect that you clean table after eating."

"For a family of four, the hot water supply was insufficient, and it took quite a while to heat up. Hopefully, it could be expedited. The terrace was large and comfortable, with a beautiful view; definitely worth visiting again."

"The hotel is lovely, staff are very friendly and helpful, we had a 3 night stay as a ski trip, it was in the perfect place, about 5 minute walk from the gondola to get to all the slopes. The room was very good, we had a fully equipped kitchen as well as a big balcony. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was very clean, the only thing is there was no hairdryer so I would bring one if you’ve booked a stay here. The rooms were very warm which was good in the cold weather! The breakfast had great choices as well as a coffee machine with loads of options. The spa was lovely, the pool is big and the jacuzzi was perfect after a long day of skiing. The sauna and steam room were also very nice and surprisingly not very busy whenever we visited. Unsure of the reason for any bad reviews! Everybody was very friendly and helpful, all guest seemed to be enjoying all amenities to offer. You just ask at reception if you need your room topping up and they do it all for you. The wardrobe was spacious with plenty of space to hang up all our ski equipment. Would 100% recommend this place for skiing in bansko, for the price we were shocked with how amazing everything was. We will be back for next years ski season!"

Kap House Family Hotel

"Both the check-in and check-out were really smooth. The service was very good in general, there was always someone present at the front desk for any of our needs. Not every staff member spoke english though, which lead to a couple of miscommunications. Rooms were tidied and supplied with clean towels daily, if wanted. The room sufficed fine for a ski trip. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets supplied in the closet. Our room had a pretty decently sized balcony. The bathroom was clean and practical (except for a slightly broken shower door). A mini fridge was also provided. The location is perfect for a ski trip in Bansko. The rental place where we stored our ski gear was located at a 5 minute walk, from which you were at the gondola in another 5 minutes. Oppertunities for eating out and grocery shopping were also located close by. The hotel featured an excellent 'spa', containing a sauna, swimming pool and jacuzzi, which we made the utmost use of after our tiring days of skiing. The breakfast in the restaurant was decent and free of charge (included in the booking price). We also had dinner at the restaurant one night which was cheap and delicious. All in all I liked nearly everything about this hotel. The only con I can think off is not being able to communicatie with every staff member all that well, because of the language barrier. This did not lead to any huge issues, however."

"It is a great place to stay while skiing in Bansko; it is clean and has friendly staff, but the rooms are outdated. In the evening, there is a fireplace burning in the lobby, the restaurant is open till late, and in the morning, there is a great breakfast with local and international delicacies."
