I would rate this hotel 4.5 stars. To enjoy the comfort and excellence of this hotel opt only for the suites. The non-suite rooms overlook the walls and garbage heaps of neighbouring hotels. Be mindful when you book, that the hotels here are situated very very very close to each other. We were shocked when we checked in that our window overlooked a garbage pit and a wall of the neighbouring hotel. We refused to accept that room and the MD Mr Adil came to our rescue and gave us a suite for which we paid an extra Rs 3000/- per day. But I am glad we did. Thank you Mr Adil. The suites overlook the meadows and mountains, they are very spacious and comfortable and are extremely well appointed. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms are well heated at night. Piping hot water is available through the day. The products provided like bedroom slippers, bathrobes and toiletries are of premium quality. The two things I would request are a full length mirror and extra lighting in the bedroom. Every member of the entire staff is polite and helpful, and the food provided in the restaurant is excellent. Try their Kashmiri cuisine and definitely have the Himalayan trout. And do not miss the very good breakfast buffet that has an amazing spread offering something great for everyone. The hotel has a nice cafe as well where really good coffee can be enjoyed with snacks. Even though all the hotels are crowded together in this area, the hotel is well located and close to the cable cars. You can enjoy lovely walks ***** the roads that run close to thick pine forests. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone but with one very emphatic qualification - BOOK A SUITE not a room.
