Southwest Penang Island Hotels with Breakfast

Overall a very positive experience. Before reviewing the hotel let me say about the location. I chose the hotel because I wanted a quieter location away from Batu Ferringhi nearby. Teluk Bahang is a little fishing village in the NW of Penang island that is slowly changing with the growth of the tourism industry. A few hundred metres from the hotel there is a major construction for a refurbished intercontinental hotel. So be aware that this is happening ( no noise heard but a bit of an eyesore) and also be aware there are few amenities nearby. You need to walk 10-15 minutes into the village to find a shop and restaurants; most of the latter are basic food stalls but quality is good. This was fine for me ; I liked the walks but might surprise some guests because the hotel is quite isolated. Nearby to the hotel and walking distance is the national park, butterfly park, eco garden and escape theme park. If you want to go to Batu Ferringhi a shuttle bus is provided for guests. On the hotel itself it was very good. We had a minor issue on check in and had to change rooms from a high floor to the third floor. I didn’t like the balcony on a high floor with two children. This was all sorted out and our requests accommodated. The sea view rooms were modern and well presented. The hotel facilities nice with pools and good breakfast. Children’s pool was fantastic for younger guests. My critique would be the hotel restaurants are very expensive if staying for dinner ; there is a missed opportunity for the hotel as with lower prices could attract more guests dining in. Overall a positive experience; the hotel probably felt like a 4.5 star hotel than real five star luxury: but was good value for money. Special mention to Dan who was a member of staff looking after the towels on the upstairs pool. He was a lovely helpful person and was great talking to him

This must be the most pleasant hotel quarantine i have done so far. I have a room with a balcony that overlooks the sea on one side and the hills on the other. Last night i watched the sun set, and this morning i did my exercises in thesea breeze, and could see the birds flying around in the trees. A special thank you to the hotel reservation team - Hasrol has been so helpful. He made sure i got the rooms i requested (we are a family group, so wanted adjoining rooms as well), kept us updated as the quarantine procedures kept changing, and made sure we had the documents we needed for smooth clearance through the airport on arrival. What a difference it makes to have professional and caring staff, especially when attempting travel during the Covid pandemic.

The breakfast was good, the fried chicken was very delicious, the curry with nasi lemak was great, but there were not many kinds of vegetables and fruits. The parking lot is free, but there are not many cars, the service is very good, check in and check out have parking handles to help carry your luggage and then take you from the room to your parking location. Without TV, the telephone signal and network signal are not very good. The forest is here to cut off from the world.

I love budget hotels... Been to lots of them and I know the expectation when staying at this kind of accommodation. Cheap, basic amenities, no frills concept. However Hotel Seri Malaysia Pulau Pinang just set a new standards of how a hotel should not be. I've stayed with them a couple of years ago and I know how bad their services are, but after several years maybe they might consider improving at least a little, but they prove me wrong. Check in 2 days ago, and the impression is not good. Complaints from the customers at the counter (hot water, cleanliness, etc). I thought maybe he was because bg fussy. I've got the 3rd floor room which is not a problem without lift. The room is ok but the air-conditioning is unreliable. The temperature control doesn't really works. The breakfast buffet nothing special with limited spread. I saw few tourists who bring in their own food. Don't know why but I assumed the choices of F&B is not enough for them. And the seating are so limited. I know that it is School holiday session but when the customers standinh for 10 minutes with food on their hand and no one even give a damn, then it is intolerable. I do ask for a container for me to take away the food, but as if they care. So.. Seri Malaysia hotel... If you do read this review, good, please do something for the sake of your own good. For me, no more Seri Malaysia ever. To be honest I'm ashamed they have Malaysia in their brand. Change to other name please

Hi I place 3 star for cleanliness as I can smell body sweat smell once I enter the room and also along my floor corridor. It’s probably from the unchanged bed sheets / quilt cover as I was told if the guests didn’t ask to change the bed sheets it won’t be replaced. There’s is a card that you have to place on the bed if you have your room for make up. But the towels also has this bad smell even though it’s new. Perhaps Eastin Hotel Penang has to change who does their laundry. Tak fresh la bau laundry… especially your towels Not kidding I stayed at Cititel Express hotel Georgetown and the towels got no bad smells , and even though their room is smaller but at least the bed sheets are fresh and no sweat smell. Breakfast buffet is excellent - all is ok except I want to recommend to not make the quiche base sweet…. It’s supposed to be savoury ( it was mushroom and tomato filling ) so why you make it sweet?? Apart from that all is ok

well taken care, hotel room and surrounding is clean, service is good. oh ya...the hotel room aircond is too cold, till 27cel still very cold.

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. I m truly amaze with the surprise by Lexis, a small request but it is truly awesome preparation by hotel. Thank you trip.com and lexis for giving us an unforgettable stay . This is our very first trip after 4 years coinciding with my hubby birthday. Definitely will visit again

Overall a good stay. Choose this hotel for its proximity to an event attending nearby, and I found the location to be very convenient. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, meeting my expectations. Overall, the service was good, making it a pleasant stay.

I especially like the environment there, the beautiful scenery, the birds and flowers, the villa is simple and chic, very emotional. There are frogs and insects in the night, and there are bird songs in the morning, which is suitable for leisure for small purposes. The waiters are warm and thoughtful, that is, the transportation is not convenient, and Chinese food and dinner are not available. Going to eat a meal will require a round trip and cost 120 MYR.
