From entering the hotel to the time we checked out we were treated like royalty. We came to Barcelona for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and on the day of check in I was greeted by beautiful patisserie and a bottle of chilled cabs in our room! Our first breakfast was heralded by complimentary pancakes and the staff were so courteous and helpful. But what made our stay so special was that this isn’t just an ordinary city hotel. They ooze individuality at every opportunity, from the selection of drinks in your room to the evening entertainment and everything else in between. This is our little secret hideaway in Barcelona, and we shall be returning.

I made a reservation at a high price because I made a reservation in a hurry, but 3 people used it, and the room size was okay, and everything was okay. ah! There was too much dust on the towel... To the point where you could see the dust attached to it after washing and wiping it. I stayed there for 4 days and it was like that all 4 days.

We stayed 7 nights in this historic hotel and celebrated a special occasion during our trip. The hotel is truly beautiful & elegantly decorated, however the service levels were inconsistent and sorely disappointing for a hotel of this standard & price. Also, there was unfortunately no special factor that made this hotel memorable. Rooms - we booked a classic double room for 3 people & got upgraded to a deluxe room on a high floor. While I appreciated the upgrade and the room decor was beautiful, the bathroom (while spacious) was in visible need of refurbishment. The paint was badly peeling in certain parts, the closet doorknob came off on our third day, the glass shower door wouldn't close fully so the bathroom got wet during a shower. I'm not expecting a newly renovated room but for the price, the room should at least be in good working condition. Housekeeping - was very inconsistent and there was a severe lack of attention to detail. Some examples: - Upon check in, the room curtain was unhooked from the first hook and messily hanging - it took 3 days for housekeeping to finally notice & fix this. - For the entirety of our stay, all room amenities were provided for 2 (not 3) people despite us having booked & paid for 3 people. - Used wine glasses & water mugs were not washed for several days until we called housekeeping to do so. - On several days, I came back to my luggage having been moved haphazardly (I think they were trying to make up the extra bed) and not put back in its place. - Turn down service was done beautifully on some days and not at all on other days. Rooftop terrace - was a gorgeous place to dine, food was excellent and the service was lovely. We felt very welcome here and it was a real treat dining here! Definitely try the rooftop terrace at least once! Front desk, concierge and bellman were excellent. The concierge was helpful with dining recommendations and guest relations gave us a cake for the special occasion we were celebrating. The bellman was attentive to get us taxis & always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast - is definitely worth a try! The breakfast room is beautiful and the drawing room leading to it is so regal & gorgeous. Generous spread of food & service was warm as well. Amar - dined here & paid over 400 euros but it was a shockingly disappointing experience. The bread, starters, petit fours & decor were wonderful - but the 200 euros of seafood we ordered was not fresh at all and the service was disinterested & careless. We were abit shocked at how bad it was for a Michelin restaurant. Bluesman cocktail bar - did not try. There's a 50 euro per pax minimum spend but perhaps this could be waived for hotel guests who are already paying a lot for a room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but felt greatly let down by the service standards at this otherwise lovely hotel. Unfortunately, I highly doubt I'd return here again but sincerely hope the hotel improves its service standards to match its elega

Very good, I stayed in several hotels in the Eixample area during this trip, and only the one is truly five-star. Except that breakfast needs to be ordered and there are not many choices, which may not be very convenient for guests who are not good at English, everything else is good. There is turn down service which is nice.

When first booking our trip to Barcelona, it was a little overwhelming the amount of properties one could choose from. After a bit of review and consideration we decided on the Hotel Olivia Balmes. We were most interested in finding a hotel that was centrally located, emphasized comfort and cleanliness, & had in room central air conditioning (given our late summer travel). The hotel hit top marks in all. We also used the pool and ate breakfast which were both excellent. I would not hesitate to book a stay here. The front desk staff were also very kind and available 24 hours a day.

Where do I start we simply loved everything about our stay at the edition. We stayed here April 18th - 21st and the staff specifically the concierge, night bell man on the 18th and front desk were beyond helpful and accommodating. I unfortunately lost the card with their names but those three guys helped my mom and I tremendously - from recommendations, transportations and other tidbits which made our stay very special. Lou Lou on the rooftop was exceptional and actually would remember our morning order which added that extra touch of personalization and guest service. Lisa I believe was her name at the rooftop bar (evening) was also fabulous. The Edition hotel is one of my favorite luxury boutique hotels and the Barcelona one didn’t disappoint - the rooms were gorgeous, clean and well appointed. The rooftop had breath taking views and the bar on the 1st floor was great for a nightcap. On top of the service, great rooms the hotel was in an exceptional location which made exploring super easy! We spent three days here and then moved to the W and it was nowhere near the level of luxury service - quite frankly we regretted having not stayed at the Edition for our entire stay!

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel: I stayed here 17 years ago in my first visit to Barcelona although I could not remember much of my experience then. I decided to stay at the Hotel Royal Ramblas in my second visit to Barcelona for 5 nights in September 2022 because of its good location. I must say its location on La Rambla is excellent and exceptional. It is close to many popular tourist attractions, it's just a few minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya metro station, and bus stops at Plaza Catalunya for the hop on hop off buses. Port Veil and the beach are within walking distance. The room we got on the Planta Royal (just one floor above the breakfast restaurant) was comfortable and clean. Although the room is facing La rambla it is extremely quiet during the night. The wifi was fast, the shower was great and the aircon was so quiet and effective. The breakfast was excelent throughout our stay and the staff at the reception were very helpful and freindly. I will definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Barcelona. One complaint I would like to make is that for a four star hotel, there isn't any tissue paper in the room. I have to buy one box of tissue papers from Carrefour nearby. But in my opinion Hotel Royal Ramblas is an excellent hotel and I would stay there agin in my next visit.

The Hotel has a wonderful staff. They are very friendly and polite. The location is more than perfect. The hotel is located 5-7 away of the central part of the city. Plenty of restaurants choices . Very clean place with a modern design. We've been there to celebrate our son's 3rd birthday and the management has been prepare for. They had organised the room with a lot of balloons and small presents for him. Very kind of them. The breakfast was included and it was with a multiple choices. Excellent customer service... So - Highly recommended place of any one aspect!

Absolutely great hotel, it's deceiving from the outside but once in its beautiful and very large. The smell whe you walk in is absolutely divine your feel like your in a very posh spa. The staff were great very warm very welcoming. The room was perfect to 2 of us. The bed was super comfy The bathroom was very large and beautifully decorated lots of space. The roof top is stunning with a pool one side and bar the other. The hotel is perfectly situated its a gentle walk 30/30 mins walk to beach but is located perfectly for other lands marks. The breakfast was beautiful alot to choose from and again the staff were brilliant. We would highly reccomend going to the europark hotel. We stayed for a long weekend.

The first thing to say about this hotel is the breakfast is every inch as delicious as the photographs on the website suggest. The lady who organises the breakfast is nothing short of a one woman show! The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the main stretch. Lots of great places to eat and grab a coffee nearby. Reception were not able to help me with booking tickets which was an issue as my data roaming wouldn't work. The key to my door was faulty so on numerous occasions I would get four floors up and then have to come down again! Tips: The supermarket in the next street is the place to purchase bottled water. A 600% markup is a bit steep. The breakfast is 14 euro per person per day if you pay at the hotel but only 10 if you pay on the website when booking.

This hostel is community-oriented with many activities for youth; offers free cereal breakfast, coffe and tea. Amazing receptionist Alu was super nice and kindly helped me with everything I needed. I am super thankful for this experience and will definitely recommend it to friends.

Beautiful hostel in the heart of Barcelona, near the Sagrada Familia! Clean, comfortable, many bathrooms and toilets, a spacious kitchen and many cool bonuses in the form of free tea and coffee! For the trip, I chose a room for 8 people as a whole is not bad, but I would like a little more comfortable beds and a curtain for separating personal space would be the best solution. Large lockers, but there is no lock, apparently it needs to be purchased at the reception ... but I had my own, bought in advance! (I advise the same) Washing things costs 7-10 euros (I don’t remember the exact cost), but for the money they washed them, dried them and put everything in a bag, which was waiting for me when I came for them, very convenient! Girls thank you so much for that! There were minor problems with wi-fi, for some reason it crashed and then connected for some reason. In general, the hostel is very good, I recommend it for your trip!

The only bad thing I could say is that my room (individual) gave the stairs and the old lift (like here there is no living) heard absolutely everything. Gustó: -El hostal esta ubicado en pleno centro de Barcelona. Cerca de Arco y La Sagrada Familia. -Junior, el recepcionista, nos atendió amablemente y en 0, tuvimos el check in hecho. -Tiene la boca de metro de Tetuan y la linea R en Paseo de la Gracia que queda a unos 15min a pie o yendo en metro. -Tiene mogollón de cafeterías/bares/restaurantes y supermercados al lado. -Es un hostal tranquilo. Te dan 3 llaves: Uno para el portal, otro para la puerta principal (aunque con un empujón se abría) y para la habitación. -La cama es muy cómoda y el agua de la ducha sale caliente siempre. -La habitación tiene una colcha por si pasas frio al dormir y luz general blanca y de mesilla cálido (siempre hay que encender alguna porque solo hay una mini ventana y la poca luz que entra desde ahi no ilumina casi nada). -Nuestra habitación era la 6. Por lo general había 0 ruido, salvo cuando alguien abría la puerta principal que quedaba al lado, pero no es nada estridente. No tiene mas habitaciones al lado. -Una habitación mas que suficiente para dormir y ya. No gustó: -Solo nos cambiaban las toallas grandes y la de mano. La toalla para los pies (el típico para cuando sales de la ducha) no se nos cambio ni una vez. -Había cosas de la limpieza como telarañas en las esquinas del techo o un moco pegado en la pared de la ducha (que ni echando agua se iba). Un poco de cuidado con estos detalles. -El enganche del rollo de papel se desprendía entero de la pared y se despiezaba en dos. -Nos comentaron que se pasaba calor en la habitación, pero en nuestro caso pasamos frio. Aunque el aire estaba programado para estar a 20, no sabemos porque y como, hacia las 3am se ponía automáticamente a echar aire helado hasta dejar la habitación a los 16 grados. Intentamos apagarlo o subir la temperatura pero no hubo manera. El primer día , a raíz de esto, nos echamos la colcha ipso facto o nos quedábamos pajarito allí mismo. La segunda noche nos paso lo mismo y ya la tercera noche parece ser que ”el fantasma” nos dejo dormir en paz.
