Citadines Ramblas Barcelona

Ramblas Barcelona|0.07km from Teatre Poliorama
Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The biggest positive I can mention is the hotel’s location, which is in the heart of Barcelona close to all city sightseeing. There are a lot of shops, bars, fast food places, and restaurants etc near the hotel. The only one drawback of the location is it can be noisy in your room. My room was on the 8th floor, but I could still clearly hear all the noise from the people on the street, and also a church bell, which rang very often during the day. At first I didn’t pay attention to it, but at some point (I was staying in this hotel for almost 1 month) it became annoying. But one big wonderful thing about my room facing the Rambla promenade was the city views from the window, which were absolutely stunning, plus, a lot of daylight inside! So what I can say? CHOICES! The hotel looks good from the inside, the lobby was nice and perfectly clean all the time. The front desk staff was mostly helpful and nice. Only a few times I felt an unfriendly negative attitude from the staff, and mostly it belonged to a super annoying Housekeeping Manager Lady who was kind of crazy and unprofessional in some moments. Once she showed up to my room with a security guy and asked to inspect my room (pretending like she could not speak English, which she clearly understood and spoke). Anyway, she acted like something was wrong in my room and she needed to check it. This performance was worthy of an Oscar! Finally I let her in and you know the first thing she did? She ran to the window and opened it and checked the area outside! Sorry, but ***??? And you know what she did after? She went to my kitchen and checked my garbage can! And after that, she bent down and checked under the bed! Finally she still did not tell me what she was trying to find or what was wrong with my room. She left and did not explain anything to me! Of course, after that I left a complaint about her crazy behavior to a front desk guy who was also shocked regarding her behavior. Anyway, be aware of this crazy lady if you stay at the hotel and hide things really well if you have something to hide! She thinks she is a detective! Coming back to the positive things about the hotel. I really liked that the hotel had a washing machine and dryer in the basement. It was easy to use them (buying special coins from the front desk), and maybe because the hotel’s guests did not know about them, every single time I came to wash my things in the evening, they were free. They are located on -1 level, by the way, next to a trash room. Oh, a little minus was the elevators which felt old and slow. I believe they need to be replaced. Now about my room. I booked the basic type of room. The room, unfortunately, was kind of small, it felt tight there. The room was okay looking, nothing fancy and nice about it. It felt kind of outdated. The TV was old and small, it was uncomfortable to watch TV shows, which I did connecting my iPad to the TV screen through a special p

Ramblas
This is the second time I stayed at this hotel: I stayed here 17 years ago in my first visit to Barcelona although I could not remember much of my experience then. I decided to stay at the Hotel Royal Ramblas in my second visit to Barcelona for 5 nights in September 2022 because of its good location. I must say its location on La Rambla is excellent and exceptional. It is close to many popular tourist attractions, it's just a few minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya metro station, and bus stops at Plaza Catalunya for the hop on hop off buses. Port Veil and the beach are within walking distance. The room we got on the Planta Royal (just one floor above the breakfast restaurant) was comfortable and clean. Although the room is facing La rambla it is extremely quiet during the night. The wifi was fast, the shower was great and the aircon was so quiet and effective. The breakfast was excelent throughout our stay and the staff at the reception were very helpful and freindly. I will definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Barcelona. One complaint I would like to make is that for a four star hotel, there isn't any tissue paper in the room. I have to buy one box of tissue papers from Carrefour nearby. But in my opinion Hotel Royal Ramblas is an excellent hotel and I would stay there agin in my next visit.

The hotel is in a great location to the heart of Barcelona. They do have some security measures by ringing in . The main road is amazing with vendors and the market . 1. Double check your room in its location . We first arrived the room they gave us was facing the main street , great view of the street and town, but it was loud at night , with people chatting and the cars . This room also has stairs , which may be challenging. The windows were classic , these days they need some sound proofing. 2. Javier helped us and changed our room which was awesome , we were fortunate that he could . The room was on a Upper floor and faced the back, so much quieter and a beautiful view . 4. What I noticed as I traveled the rooms have a small refrigerator, but no one had a Microwave. 5. I didn’t like they have double beds they put together to make a king, which isn’t great for couples , my second room was an actual kings bed . 6. They offer Breakfast , which was great and the food was tasty. The only thing I noticed , we were there a few days and it would have been nice , if they changed a few things every couple of days. I will provide a few pictures of first room and second .I highly suggestion double checking that room , I feel there is a old and updated rooms. Unless, you want the party rooms facing the street.

The rooms are small in size, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful. Carrefour, a large supermarket next door to the hotel, is convenient for purchasing daily necessities. The hotel is located on a lively pedestrian street, 600 meters from the subway station, making it easy to travel. Next time you visit Barcelona, choose this hotel.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous; every detail, perfectly appointed. The pool, sauna and steam room were 100% worth the price of admission. It would be a mistake to skip. The bed was comfortable. The service was amazing and one of the servers pretty much made our trip (I forgot her name but I know she speaks Bulgarian). The front desk lady had great recommendations for vegetarian restaurants. I think that hotels of this caliber should always have a Nespresso or something like that in-room. I don’t care for getting ready and dressed to fetch coffee. There was a lot of street noise. Again, I picked a hotel right smack in the middle of town, but I did not sleep the second night. Lots of Americans everywhere. I would stay in a different part of town next time.

Perfect location, the Aerobus from the airport terminates at Placa de Catalunya which is 100m from the hotel. Hotel is on La Rambla which runs from the heart of the city to the sea. Breakfast is good at €10 and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a secure luggage room if you arrive earlier than check in time or if you want to leave your luggage there after you have checked out. We had a room overlooking La Rambla and it wasn't too noisy. Great find, we highly recommend.
