I absolutely loved this place! Our guide, Keshab, came all the way to the airport with the driver to pick us up. We were lucky to have him as our private guide the entire 6 days we stayed there. He is the best guide I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot! The lodge is beautiful and the food is amazing, the best we had in all of Nepal! All the staff are kind, considerate, polite, and professional, and they treated us so well. There were hardly any other visitors, so it felt very private. Our driver, Manpati, was also very good. The wildlife was incredible! In 4 full day safaris we saw 3 tigers, a leopard, a rhino, otters, crocodiles, birds, and a whole herd of wild elephants. They have both a smaller uncovered vehicle and a larger covered vehicle for the choice that suits you. A truly beautiful place and quite a good bargain, too; about 3 times cheaper than safaris in India. In our last night we had beer, shisha, and a great song and dance from the local villagers.

Good location close to the river, helpful staff at the booking office in Kathmandu (thanks for your help booking bus tickets, Bibas!), delicious food, comfortable and clean room: it's worth the relatively high price!

Our short trip to Bardiya was much more than we expected. The stay at Rhino Lodge was wonderful. The ambience and food were great. The hotel staff were super friendly and welcoming. The highlight of the stay was the whole day jungle safari, which was surreal. Our guide was really enthusiastic and patient to show us in and around the jungle. The Tharu cultural dance and food was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends.

This is a nice and cozy place with awesome Nepalese hospitality and warmth. They treat you like family and do their best to take care of your every need. It feels like a nice village home rather than a big hotel. You will not find fancy bathroom fixtures or well furnished rooms but you will find a peaceful night in a cozy bed with working a/c and hot showers. The staff is what makes this place special. They light a fire for you. They prepare meals according to your dietary needs and they are there for you to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The national park is very well managed and safe despite the poor governance of the country. The hotel will provide you with knowledgeable guides, vehicles and gear to enjoy your time in the jungle and explore the awesome flora and fauna. You may get lucky and see a tiger but even if you don’t, you see many other animals and enjoy the nature. It’s the thrill of the search that’s more enjoyable than the actual sightings. You smell the forest, you breathe in the fresh air and you enjoy the company of the knowledgeable guide and take home the wonderful memories. Our guide Sitaram was the best of the best and we were lucky to have him. We knew about him from previous TripAdvisor reviews and he was even better in person.

Idyllic, lovely lodge next to Bardia national park. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and food is almost instantly served after ordering. More important, the lodge has one of the best wildlife guides I have witnessed during several safari's in both India and Africa. Thanks to Keshab we have had 3 tiger sightings in 5 days, even a sighting of a tigress with 4 little cubs. His English is wonderful too.

The trip started enthusiastically while on the way to the resort with our appointed driver showing us animals along the way. Warm welcome with comfortable rooms while making sure you feel like you're in the jungle area, away from the city and its hustle. Experienced the local culture and food in a different light. The jungle safari was worth every second with such enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides! They'll make sure to make this trip memorable for you, and help you spot every animal possible, and YES we did spot a tiger thanks to our amazing guide!! Highly recommended!!

Rhino Lodge was clean, safe, accommodating, comfortable, had great food, and provided great safari experiences. Rhino lodge worked with us to help us maximize our time and use it how we best saw fit! We stayed for 3 days. Our first day we did a jeep safari with Caysup (I think I’m spelling this wrong, he told us his nickname was ketchup). We saw lots of deer and birds. He tried very hard to spot a Tiger, and was following the sounds of the forest! He was a great guide! The second day we did a walking safari with Lax. I now call him Tiger Trax Lax! He knew all the best places to look. He ended up spotting us a tiger, 4 rhinos, and a wild elephant! The last day was a jeep safari with Lax. We did get out several times to check the best spots. We ended up seeing a small group of wild elephants. It was an AMAZING time. Definitely the highlight of our Nepal trip. Honestly to see a tiger has been one of the highlights of my life!
