Bardia Forest Resort ★★
"A quiet place near the entrance to Bardia Park, you can go on a hike or jeep tour and explore the wild jungle and wildlife. The staff is very helpful and the guide knows the jungle perfectly."
Nature Safari Resort ★★★
"Excellent stay, unbeatable value for money! We were supposed to stay 3 nights, we stayed 6!! Ideally located on the edge of Bardia National Park, we went for several walks in the forest, along the river (in which it is possible to swim in the dry season because the water is very clean) and in the small village just 15 minutes away on foot. The hotel is quiet, pleasant and relaxing in the middle of lush vegetation. The accommodations, typical of the region (small individual houses made of wood, bamboo and terracotta) are comfortable. The bedding is very good, the windows are equipped with mosquito nets, and some rooms have air conditioning (the others all have a fan). Madou, the owner, and his wife, Anita, welcomed us like family. They took great care of us from the start, picking us up at the bus stop at 5 a.m. They went to buy us our return bus tickets and dropped us off at the bus stop and took us shopping in the village. Madou has lived in the village since childhood and has worked in the national park since he was a child. He is the second person to open a hotel in the eco village. He firmly believes in his vision: green, environmentally friendly tourism that offers 100% organic cuisine. Now a member of the Bardia Park office, he organizes safaris and walks for his clients accompanied by carefully selected guides, passionate, patient guides who listen to their clients. The prices of the safaris are the lowest in the village. Don't hesitate to compare other Safari tours in other hotels, you will see that the Nature Safari Resort is HALF the price of other resorts that go through agencies. The guides and drivers are all experienced. No lies here, Madou is a transparent entrepreneur who seeks to develop eco-tourism in Bardia and who makes it a point of honor to make us feel at home and enjoy the beauty of the place. Madou takes care of his garden and vegetable patch, from which all the products cooked by his wife come. Anita is an excellent cook! We tasted good Nepalese dishes, without chili because we can't stand it. Breakfasts vary every morning (pancakes, bananas; chapati, omelets...). We even had the right to a Dal Bhat cooking class. It was fantastic! We learned a lot about Nepalese culture and village life. An unforgettable moment in a heavenly environment. We recommend it a thousand times and will come back next year at least in March."
Rhino Lodge Bardia Pvt Ltd ★★
"This is a nice and cozy place with awesome Nepalese hospitality and warmth. They treat you like family and do their best to take care of your every need. It feels like a nice village home rather than a big hotel. You will not find fancy bathroom fixtures or well furnished rooms but you will find a peaceful night in a cozy bed with working a/c and hot showers. The staff is what makes this place special. They light a fire for you. They prepare meals according to your dietary needs and they are there for you to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The national park is very well managed and safe despite the poor governance of the country. The hotel will provide you with knowledgeable guides, vehicles and gear to enjoy your time in the jungle and explore the awesome flora and fauna. You may get lucky and see a tiger but even if you don’t, you see many other animals and enjoy the nature. It’s the thrill of the search that’s more enjoyable than the actual sightings. You smell the forest, you breathe in the fresh air and you enjoy the company of the knowledgeable guide and take home the wonderful memories. Our guide Sitaram was the best of the best and we were lucky to have him. We knew about him from previous TripAdvisor reviews and he was even better in person."
Samarth Bardia Adventure Resort ★★
"Had a great time here. Resort has got very natural ambience with the dalicious food and mesmerizing ambience. Service deserves 5 star out of 5. Camp fire along with the soft music made our evening awesome and highly memorable. It was worth our stay there"
Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge ★★★★
"Visited last month with my daughters. Only had two days. Thanks to the efforts of our guide Bhim, we saw a tiger, rhino, and herd of elephants. It was a long, hot day, but he left no stone unturned in trying to make our experience memorable, which it was. The lodge was spectacular, especially when you consider how remote it is. The accommodations were very comfortable and the food was excellent, as was the service and hospitality."
Burhan Wilderness Camps ★★★
Bardia Tiger Resort ★★★
"Best hospitality, best price, friendly staff, yummy food. Visited the resort during nepali festival Holi , the place was good . Went for jeep safari and had a chance to see tiger and leopard. It was majestic. The guide guided us about tharu culture as well. We enjoyed tharu dance as well"
Forest Hideaway Resort Pvt Ltd ★★★
"While I was visiting Bardia National Park I stayed at the Forest Hideaway and I was very pleased with the accommodations, food and services. My room was clean and quiet with a hot shower and WiFi. My time in Bardia was divided between Jeep Safaris and hiking in the Park, if I was to go again I would skip the Jeep Safaris and simply hike as the Forest and Grassland of Bardia are very beautiful and excellent for viewing wildlife. I had the good fortune to have been paired with an excellent guide by the name of Paddam Tharu. I found him to be a wealth of knowledge concerning the Flora and Fauna of Bardia. By the end of my 5 days at Forest Hideaway I had viewed for extended periods of time Two Rhinos, several Elephants and two Tigers in addition to several varieties of Deer, Monkeys as well as a large Monitor Lizard and countless varieties of Birds."
Mango Tree Lodge ★★★
"The host, Rajan, his 2 sons, Avi, and BJ were great. They go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. The lodge rooms are large and clean. The outdoor dining and seating area is great and situated in the grounds with fruit and other tropical plants. Rajan's wife prepares all the nutritious and tasty meals. The lodge has, like many in Bardiya, had tough times with the earthquake and the pandemic affecting their income. Our guide, Mehindra, for the walking, jeep, camping, and rafting experiences, did his best to show us all that Bardiya had to offer. We saw lots of big animal signs, but the tigers and elephant herds were hiding. However, we did see one bull elephant, three one horned rhino, and crocodiles, along with various birds, monkeys, etc. As Avi and BJ support this lodge, I believe they will help to drive some changes and help to increase the patronage, which will help update and improve the lodge facilities.
