I booked a night in a single room with Lavabo - the price is currently at 95,- CHF + 4,- courtage. I am not in a hotel because I wanted to save money and Switzerland is much more expensive than Germany. Benefits of youth hostels: The booking includes a Basel card that allows you to use all the public service free of charge. Furthermore, you pay only 50% of the entry at museums etc. Another advantage: the location of the youth heritage very central, but still quiet (only with regard to the city event), in the old town very close to the Rhine. You can walk to the center. The neighborhood is idyllic. I had a room with windows on the opposite side of the Rhine, there cooled it in spite of a hot summer day in the night nicely from another advantage: breakfast is quite good, it is already ready from 6:00, and the coffee/cappucino from the machine is of high quality. However, one must pay for a cappucino outside the breakfast hours CHF 4.00. A room without shower/WC with Lavabo is easy because there are enough toilets and single showers available on the floor. And a good shower bathtub was to be borrowed for 3,- CHF. The staff of the youth hostels were very friendly. Most other guests do not, often my greeting was not answered on the hall. Now to the disadvantages that weigh more seriously for my needs than the benefits: first of all the relative brightness. Relatively because the construction substance appears normal in this respect, but the behaviour of other guests is ignorant. At the time of my stay, many families with small children were present, some of which let their children cry unremittingly (without pain or dispute) - the children cry partly for fun at crying, in the rooms, but also, Because it is so beautiful in the concrete halls, and well because the parents thought that all could be left in a youth hostel. I didn't say anything to these families because I know from experience that it doesn't bring anything and because I just stayed a night. But I have spoken to the staff, but nothing has been done (that is probably also useless for them). I myself visited Basel to look at a lot of art, and I am a guy who needs a guest room as a place of withdrawal even daily to get back. The impressions in this interesting city are overwhelming. This youth hostel is not suitable for this. I could only sleep with earstops, and that's only uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the room can only be obtained from 15:00 - I would have wished to be able to rest a little before and make me fresh after the long arrival of a hot day (but probably it would have been too loud to rest). Good location if you are traveling on public transport. We came from Colmar by train and the hotel is only a short taxi ride from the station. It is not an area for cafes, restaurants etc. as there is nothing around. There is a tram just up from the hotel and you can take this into the heart if the city. We didn’t as it was only an overnight stay and we were too tired. We contented ourselves with a snack from a machine in the lobby. The room was small but for one or two nights not a problem. Bed was comfortable, water hot and WiFi good. We left too early for breakfast so can’t comment on the food. The young lady on reception was very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend for short stays. Great value for the price we paid, AU$97.

The room is poorly soundproofed, and the floor upstairs creaks when stepped on. It's speechless. It's the first time I booked a self-check-in. The gate requires a password to enter. There is no check-in guide when booking on Ctrip. I waited for a long time until someone opened the door and slipped in. Ctrip asked the hotel agent but there was no response. Fortunately, there were other people in the restaurant who kindly gave me directions. There is a shared kitchen. 700 yuan is not bad, right? The socket of this one is small, and the power ***** cannot be used. I used this when I went to France before. Fortunately, their USB can be used, so it dealt with it for one night.

Business trip, the room is not bad, just opposite the exhibition hall, the train station to the hotel 20 minutes drive. The executive lounge room is set, the executive lounge is in the room opposite the reception desk, there are not many choices 😂

The breakfast is rich and worthy of praise. The room is spacious, bright, quiet and very clean. A hotel worth recommending, within walking distance of the convention and exhibition center.

The place was beyond my expectation. The hostel looks wonderful from inside with historical character. The rooms are perfectly well organized and neat. The washrooms are clean. The staff are friendly and always there to help you, the receptionist recommended nice places to visit in Basel. They also give me a bike for free to help exploring the city. Check in and out process went smoothly and professionally, you can even do it totally online. The breakfast also was fantastic. The location is a walk distance from the Dan bahnhof and you can easily pick up a tram to go to the old city center. I highly recommend this place to whoever wants to visit Basel.

The room is small, the suitcase is a bit difficult to open, there is no kettle in the room, you need to go to the front desk to borrow it. It belongs to the domestic seven-day standard. The prices in Munich, Basel, and Berlin on my itinerary are about the same and the lowest grade. The dark carpet used in the room feels dirty. The service is not bad, and the sanitation is not bad. It is two stops away from Vitra where I need to go by tram No. 8

Just what we needed, after a 12 hour drive en route to skiing in France. The hotel has everything, a really nice mexican restaurant with superfast service, a bar for a night cap, and quiet rooms for sleeping 🙌 The breakfast is amazing, you can eat and eat 😅 We will definetly come back next time we go skiing 🥳
