Grand Sydney Hotel

Batam Center|2.07km from Shangri La Massage & Spa
I don't even know how to begin... overall, the service staff were very friendly. We knew the hotel was old so we were expecting the worst but got a newly renovated room instead and that was nice. But the renovation felt incomplete with a number of issues / poorly done, and weird things like a very very rusty shower soap rack (because it's clearly newly renovated, why is it rusty???). Amenities wise there's a hair dryer, 2 bottles and complimentary coffee and tea packets. Nothing in minibar. Room was spacious, but the safe was spoilt and way too small (barely can keep iPad level small). There's only one door lock and no extra chain lock on the door. I mean I didn't feel unsafe unsafe but at the same time I knew it was not really safe. The water turned a bit brown for about 3 minutes the first night (we suspect rust?) but didn't appear any more after. Drainage was okay but can be improved. Towels were stained and bedsheets not pristine. It's beside a school, so expect some noise if your staying in the morning on weekdays. There was also an air freshener in the room that went off every hour (literally every hour throughout the night) but I'm pretty 100% sure there was nothing in the air freshener. The weirdest part was the outside of the hotel - not the hotel property itself but the road leading up to it. It seemed completely abandoned and like it could collapse anytime. Overall - would not stay again but if no other choice, can make do. Paid about $160 for 3 nights.

Radisson Golf & Convention Center Batam

I recently booked a room at Radisson Golf and Convention Center for a short vacation with my wife to celebrate her 65th birthday. We stayed from December 1st to December 3rd. The check-in process was swift, and the staff were excellent and very friendly. On the morning of my wife's birthday, during breakfast, the FB Team surprised us by presenting my wife with a birthday cake. The whole team gathered around and sang the birthday song, with the chef playing the guitar. It was such a heartwarming gesture that made my wife's day very memorable. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the staff at Radisson, especially the FB team, for going the extra mile to make our stay so special. The level of service and the attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Radisson Golf and Convention Center, for making our stay unforgettable! Source: Tripadvisor

Tonight is our last night here in Eska. All good. Water heater, thick towels(some hotel's has very thin towels), hairdryer. A/C was working well. Mini fridge was ok. Not that cold. No funky smell in the room & bathroom, clean. Lobby is clean. Housekeeping team was great. Breakfast platter was good too. The bed was not bad($40+, yeah). Only the pillows thou. I find it quite flat. Haha. And Kepri Mall is permanently closed. So, its little quiet. I would suggest to get yourself a prepaid card for data*get a bigger Gb, if you likes watching Netflix or videos*. Just to standby. Hehe! We arrived on the Friday afternoon, Wifi connection, TV was all fine. But, when we came back that night prolly around 10pm ish. there is no Wifi connection at all till the next mrng. But now, 12.38am, Sat night. Wifi was good. Idk whether the connection or what. I just used up my data yesterday😅 to surf the internet. We didnt try the spa here, because we had our regular massage place else where. And theres a restraunt at the roof top. Very nice. But didnt get a chance to sit there, as its raining. Yeaa. Overall, worth the stay. Only the Wifi thingy.
Fresh One Hotel

Had a chance for quick getaway to Batam, a bustling small city. Booked and stayed at this budget hotel. We were not expecting much as we knew budget hotel comes with standard in everything you get from a budget hotel. The location is strategic in the centre of the city where it is in the middle of tourist destinations. What you get is what you pay for. Basic amenities and facilities within the hotel. However what is outstanding is their staff and services. They look after us and recommended places to visit. It was a short stay but a memorable one. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel. The food court next to the hotel is to die for. Really nice. We recommend this hotel for a quick short stay. Nothing fancy but really value for the money.
Redlink Hotel

I've been here a lot more often. Especially if there is an event going home far away. I stop here, but I always choose in redlink because it's close to my work place too close to the city center near the mall. reaching public trips, besides the cheap price getting the best facilities, although there are less water, less hot, splash paint, there are a little damaged but no price for breakfast again, Simple breakfast is important to be อิ่ม, I don't have a variation on the menu every time I come as well, keep it there is also close to the food market. A lot of food vendors around it, it's comfortable to stop by but a bit narrow

Pros: The room decoration is good; the wifi speed is good; the air-conditioning refrigerator is good; the TV can watch YouTube; check-in half an hour in advance; the staff is very enthusiastic when introducing the situation; the cooking utensils are good; you can buy things in the supermarket do. Cons: The water heater is not easy to use, at most it only produces warm water; there are many ants in the room, especially the toilets; the hotel is in a bad location, and you have to take a taxi everywhere; there are only two small shops nearby for food, and the clerk does not speak English.
