"What's bad: cleanliness of the room was not great, it smelled a bit... funny? But i was fine with it cos i didn't stay much in the hotel. Room lights are warm and dim so it may be a bit spooky for some but we were fine with it. Breakfast spread were limited and cold. What's okayish: location is strategic within batam centre, going to the ferry terminal is very near. This is the only hotel i can find that is able to fit 3 pax in a room (1 twin and 1 single bed) so it great for small friends group. What's great: hotel room is very affordable. Also, there are eateries nearby within walking distance, including popular coffee places, breakfast and lunch places. There are also a few shopping malls nearby with great food veriety. And most importantly the hotel staffs were very friendly and provided great assistance to my queries. This is the best highlight of the stay. Verdict: if you dont stay in the hotel much, i think this hotel will do the job just fine."

"Amazing Stay at Aston Hotel Batam Our experience at Aston Hotel Batam was truly amazing. From the moment of arrival, the staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive, always ensuring that every guest felt satisfied and well taken care of. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more memorable. The breakfast food was exceptional, offering a wide variety of choices to suit every taste. From freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to local Indonesian dishes and international favorites, every item was delicious and beautifully presented. The buffet was well organized, and the staff made sure everything was replenished promptly, creating a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience each morning. The location of the hotel was also very convenient—close to many popular tourist spots, making it easy to travel around Batam. Overall, Aston Hotel Batam exceeded expectations in every way. "Pls be mindful Hotel require deposit 100k IDR. When check out, the hotel will check the room first before u get your deposit back. Need to wait around 10mins. Can say cheap rate hotel with 2 breakfast just around rm125 per night. I chose this hotel bcos i arrived Batam night time, so no need fancy hotel hehe. The hotel is not shoplot hotel, the whole building is the hotel. At night quite noisy, not sure why, maybe there’s event at the ballroom hotel. The toilet room is average (quite smelly maybe bcos old hotel), not suitable for fussy person. Same goes to the bed and bed sheet. But the room is so spacious and have kiblat sign (for muslim prayer). Breakfast spread also average, suitable if you not eat much. But still have egg station. Nasi goreng, meehon goreng, cereals, also have. Overall still ok if you stay 1 night."

"This was quite a large hotel. As I took the elevator from the lobby to my room, I noticed a peculiar smell in the hallway. The scent in the elevator also didn't quite agree with me; it seemed to be from an automatic air freshener that just wasn't to my liking. I also caught a faint whiff of cigarette smoke while walking down the corridor. On the positive side, breakfast was absolutely superb – truly the best buffet meal. My only real issue was the smell in the accommodation. The staff were friendly, and I highly recommend trying the breakfast buffet. They had a great selection of fruits and various other dishes. The egg dishes were prepared in multiple delicious ways, and the noodle dishes were also very tasty."

"First time to Batam, hotel location is next to the mall which you may get what you need from mall and shops nearby. The hotel breakfast had variations choice and good. Overall the experience staying in this hotel was great. There is a swimming pool at Level 2 and and massage center inside hotel with reasonable price. If you are coming over follow those youtuber and online recommendations, you are a bit remote and need to go by car. This place may be good for business traveller but for backpacker or light traveller, you may choose to stay near the attractions where you can reach within walking distance."

"As usual, I would like to pick most strategic location and been staying here for many times. Time flies, many things are ageing that need for refurbishment like the doors, piping, shower spray, uneven bed as well as the windows that look very dirty from outside ."

"The room was clean, the location was comfortable, and the facilities were good. The location is close to the harbor and other attractions. If I have the chance again, I would stay at this hotel again.🥰"

"I had a wonderful stay at Harper Premier Hotel Batam. The location in Nagoya Thamrin is very convenient – food, shopping, and everything else are within walking distance. The room was comfortable, similar in quality to other hotels in the same chain (Fave, Aston, Harper). The smart TV was a nice touch, though it lagged occasionally, and the internet went down a few times for a few minutes before coming back online. Housekeeping did a great job providing clean linen daily, and laundry service was excellent. Room service food tasted great – loved the flavors. One small issue: the QR code on the bedside screen didn’t work, but the front desk gave me a number to place my order without trouble. Breakfast selection was decent, with the menu changing slightly each day – good for guests staying multiple days. The culinary team did a nice job. A big thank you to the Front Office team, especially Minty and Mr. Yon, for their helpful assistance. The security and safety team were also very friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone – hope to see you again soon!"

"The hotel's facilities are a bit dated, but the cleanliness is acceptable. You can see monkeys and squirrels around the hotel, so for a beachfront resort, this level of cleanliness is probably the best they can do. The ocean views and scenery are stunning, and there are two very large pools that are great for swimming. It's a fantastic spot for photos. I'd say the ocean views here are among the best you'll find on Batam Island. The hotel's surroundings are very remote, so getting around pretty much requires a taxi."

"Was given a smoking room while I had requested for a non smoking room in my booking. Had to request for a change of room. Room door was difficult to open despite using two access room cards. Again, had to ask the receptionist to get our room doors settled. So there was some delay before we could really take a rest after a long day. Basic amenities like dental kit, shampoo and body wash were provided. Room was of a pretty decent size. Breakfast was ok and has a Maggie station. It’s just a 5- 10 mins drive to the Batam ferry center."
