Absolutely stunning in every respect We arrived through a sweeping tree lined road into the circular driveway, beautiful grounds and enchanting stonework. From arrival to departure, staff were incredibly professional and helpful . Deborah took time to talk about the fascinating history of the building and suggest areas of special interest. I stayed in the Thomas Gainsborough and it was luxurious, beautifully decorated and lovely touches such as a framed explanation linking the room name to the person. Shower caps, dental set, mending kit and other complimentary touches sat alongside the scented bathroom products. Incredibly soft and comfy bed, double windows giving views across the grounds. Evening meal at the cloisters was a high quality seasonal offering in a very unique stone vaulted room. We used the conference and meeting rooms, some great touches like chocolate raisins in a kilner jar, scones jam and cream in the break. What stood out most about this place was the attention to detail. The history of the building has been hugely respected and the artwork, decorations and experience was strongly linked to Bath's history. I will be back as a social visitor and I will certainly be trying every other Hand Picked hotel. The nicest place I have stayed for years!
