The hotel is good. The living room is OK except for the smell of old house air when entering the room. The furniture is old but it feels good. The breakfast selection is quite rich.

Think twice if you have a large suitcase and are on the upper floors. The lounge is nice with a real fire. Breakfast was nice too. Friendly hotel. 👍

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, the front desk service attitude is good, the room is clean and tidy but the facilities are a bit old. The overall feeling is that the price/performance ratio is quite high, suitable for traveling and living alone

We had the most wonderful welcome at Brooks guest house. I stayed with my elderly mother who uses a walking aid. When we arrived the receptionist was so friendly and nice and immediately offered to change the twin room we had booked as it was on the second floor. She was also very helpful with information and gave us a map. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. The breakfast was good quality and cooked to order. The guest house is within walking distance of everywhere and I would highly recommend.

This property was in a location close enough to the city center, but removed enough to be quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately, my overall visit was mostly overshadowed by the intense basement/mildew-type smell that permeated my room, to the point that my clothes gathered the scent. The carpet and duvet were stained, and the room became fairly chilly at night (a portable heater was provided, but was insufficient). Overall the facilities are in dire need of an update/renovation, for cleanliness' sake.

Everything adequate for a comfy night's stay for the price we paid, within walking distance to town and local food, and restaurants/bars, was ideal for bus route to bus stops all along main A4 route , the bus stops several places and at the station

Outstanding B&B. Conveniently located - minutes away by foot from the Royal Crescent and town centre. Very clean, well appointed rooms. Check-in and checkout services were efficient and friendly. The cooked breakfast was delicious! All this at a very reasonable price, especially if you book directly on their website.

A really lovely stay - perfect location as was within walking distance of the city centre. Really friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was really good value and enjoyed being able to help ourselves to cereal, pastries etc but also have hot food made to order. The room was clean and quiet. We’ll be back and recommending to others!
